What have you done to your Elgrand today?

Next part arrived from China, a video interface. Wired it in so I now have my stereo display mirrored to the dash display without using the VTR input so the kids can still watch movies.

One last part in transit to complete the conversion.

How long does your tyre art last, do you have to redo it every time you wash your Elgrand?
White fades as the brake dust and road grime sticks to it bit all other colours last aslong as you don't kurb them when I re do them I get a paint brush and tfr the tyre to strip all old stuff and gunk off

Had a really good nose about her yesterday, took video and pictures to keep me sane (good luck!) until the end of JANUARY! (offically hates January)..

Removed the stereo for the umpteenth time to finish off installation of my video interface.
Refitted A pillar trim that was not hooked into the dash top properly.
And finally took it for a drive to test everything is working properly - really happy now I can read stereo status on the dash screen almost as Nissan intended.

Sorry, turning video police. I'll get my coat.

I’ve finally changed my KM speedometer to and MPH version.
She goes in for the front and rear brakes and an under seal on Monday.
How easy was this, got my 2003 e51 to do. Did you buy the Lockwood kit?

I got around to stripping back my windscreen and treating it. Amazing result seems much better than rainx but I only had a hose to test with...
I'd only every tried the clear n white 1 panicked when it came out a cream brown colour its great stuff though

Given it it’s first “wax” with autglym resin. Six hours as there was loads of overspray from presumably when the dealer had it machine polished. Mine‘s a G30 and they must have been spraying something white nearby.

New year clean, now that I'm finally coming out the other side from Covid. New shampoo used today, which I'm pretty happy with.

Oh, and happy Elgrand anniversary day passed on Saturday...a year since I won her at auction 😊

Today, Ed had an oil/filters service by Steve at Service Point, Alresford. He also changed the front D bushes, good job, well priced and will definately use him again, big👍👍s up.:)

Today I did some “to do” jobs on @Chris J van.

I am sure he will be on later with some photos 🤪 and some commentary of what happened.

top day 👍 - shame I had work meetings in afternoon.
Evening Guys,

as Craig says, we set out to replace the spark plugs on my Ellie today in the glorious sunshine. However, to say the plugs were stubborn to release would be an understatement. Plug 6 on the RH bank proved to be a challenge, but the worst was yet to come. Plug 5 was next up !! this was an arm wrestle beyond belief, and a few expletives later from us both saw Craig's trolley jack handle come into play. This extra metre of leverage made a loud "crack" as we feared the worst and looked at one another !!! All was not lost, and plug 6 threw in the towel :). Momentum was with us and plugs 3 and 1 also succumbed to the trolley jack treatment.
If it were not for Craig's persistence with this today I'm pretty sure your average garage mechanic would have given up. Added big bonus from today, eagle eyed Craig noticed a loose dangling spade connector cable hanging around in the engine bay. With Ellie fired back up and purring nicely we reconnected to the battery and hey-presto my door mirror LED indicator lenses are back working. Massive thanks to Craig for today mate, great job 👍👍👍
See attached the 6 offenders
