What have you done to your Elgrand today?

Is that my first warning? 😕

I have an ECS card. To get one you have to know about safe working practice and to gain access to most sites you also have to have a site specific safety induction and you're not even allowed through the door without five point ppe so sorry, can't help but begrudge having the bleedin' obvious shoved down your throat on a daily basis.

Granted you will always get idiots who will try to get away with taking short cuts, and I've seen some pretty dodgy stuff going on myself, but for those of us who play by the rules it does grate a bit when you have a deadline to meet and you have to down tools. End of rant.
I completely agree with what you say.
The problem is the idiots who disregard the rules which unfortunately tars everyone
Site management have to be seen to be doing the right thing as it’s us who go to prison when the idiots kill themselves

End of my rant 😂😂

Got it washed early this morning before the predicted heat wave starts tomorrow - 29 forecast here 😱

MOT tomorrow too. Think I'll get hammered on outer wear on front tyres. Been no point getting them changed & wheel alignment before MOT in case something else fails that knackers the alignment again. 🤞😨:)

🥳🥳🥳 She passed. Nice little oil & filter change as a reward :)

Tyres were an advisory so I'll get those sorted. And the wing mirror indicator an advisory again :)

Those there idiots are deprived of good old common sense.
I bet they all dream of owning a transporter. 🤯

Done nothing but stand and admire my beautiful bus while teaching some one to reverse an articulated lorry. 🤯😎👍

Charged the battery on it last night (was completely dead). Started fine this morning. Dropped it off at garage with the hope of them welding up the aircon pipe.

Get a call lunchtime - apparently their welder isn't capable of welding that. FFS, they could have figured that out without me leaving it there if it was really the case! I explained it to them beforehand and left photos to explain what to do.Too hot, couldn't be arsed and wanted to leave early? Fair enough, but just tell me!

Anyhow, I leave work early to go get it and of course battery is flat again... as was my jump pack.

Borrow one from the garage and head off to another garage to see if they could do the aircon. Closed. Go to another one that I know advertise "specialist aircon pipe" repairs. Thier alloy welder is off on paternity leave but booked in for next Thursday - not going to help my trip this weekend but glimmer of hope before main holiday!

Bought a new battery and fitted it, seems ok but time will tell. Better work, when did batteries get so fecking expensive!

Seriously thinking of getting rid again, doesn't make any sense - don't use it, costs me regardless. Could hire something big for when I actually need it for a lot less.

Then I started weighing up other options, could buy a newer one LPG it and it would all be alright! Absolute bullshit I know, but that's what they do to you - get into your system! When driving it earlier, roasting inside and didn't dare turn the engine off anywhere I stopped - all I was thinking, "Missed driving this, Epic!".

Love them and hate them....

(Anyone want a cheap E51 Rider? could be open to offers, no idea what they are worth anymore!)

Keep it @blingo you know you want to. I've got same problem as you still with rear air con. Got pissed off after 2 years of garage telling me there was no leak they could find. So I bought my own kit, put a couple of small cans of gas in & guess what - the leak was on the pipe at the back where I told them it would probably be & pissing out visibly under pressure.

I've contacted a local air con specialist - no reply. I use a good mobile mechanic who said he could probably cap it off with a plumbing fitting until I told him it's a pipe within a pipe so understandably he was not so confident of fixing it. The wife knows somebody who may be able to do it, otherwise it's a trip to the guy who does the capping off in Leeds or second hand pipe fitted by @stevemen .

Anyway keep it mate. I'm keeping mine until I can afford a series 3 which will be quite some time :)

Bit of tint spray on rear lights, more to do as planning on doing light bar.
Managed to finish my fog light job by tinting the LEDs to hide them a bit.
And some nismo centres for my new wheels. Struggled to find any the correct size in uk but luckily sourced some on wish. 6 week wait but worth it.

Gave into the wife's demands and did abit more on her boot bed. Cut it in half pretty much from last time I put a picture on, and added a few more little bits.

Still quite abit to do aesthetically on the inside and stuff but starting to look more like a pull out bed.

Moved it to the front of the drive ready for a trip to norfolk tomorrow. Not convinced the new battery has cured all the starting problems - first try had just a click and no joy! Old battery was definitely fecked - not enough power to unlock the doors after a couple of weeks (yeah I know something is probably draining the battery but still...)

Solenoid, sticky starter motor? Lack of use?

It's on it's final warning so it's better behave :)

Fitted a Pure Highway 400 in car DAB+ digital radio as the radio on the xtrons head unit was shite.
Easy to do and all wires hid out of the way.
Didnt bother with the 600 because the xtrons hands free phone connection is ok.

Although, I did not fix it today, it was last week.
