What have you done to your Elgrand today?

I’m on 19s as well and when fully loaded with camp gear I’m hitting the bump stops. Currently contemplating changing the suspension and would prefer to keep is as close to standard as whilst I’d love to slam my bus on the floor it’s not practical for me so looking to keep as close the ride height I have now. Think Tein street Z are the closest I can get as am struggling to find anything else that doesn’t have more adjusters that Darth Vader’s bathroom mirror.
I'm on BC Racing coilovers with the stiffest rear spring they offer and it's still too soft when loaded up...so I've bought some of the airlift helper bags, just need to find the time to fit them.

This was a concern as I think the tein are only slightly harder spring rates to the standard so was intending to install the airlift bags as well for the times when I need a bit more lift on the rear.

Can you fit airlifters to coilovers? I have hks hipermax on mine atm and do like the idea of airlifters but didnt think it was possible due to how the coilovers are

Yeh I think they'll work, just need to put a cap over the internal hole in the adjuster.

I just need some time to actually get it done. I'll put a post up once I've done it.

had my wheel alighnment done after having 4 new cross climate tyres on...only needed the front doing...does the readout look okay ?

Hi @Elgrandonaut I'm kinda new here and to the UK. I'm having some challenges with the different terminology used. I'm looking to install one of these canm8 precision kits and wanted to prevent the the uncommanded reving you and a few others mentioned. What does "A wider berth of the fuse area worked for me" mean? Thanks
Hi Frederick,

You need to route the wiring and locate the control box, when you install your cruise control, well away from where the fuses, associated wiring and other control boxes are.
They emit a lot of electrical interference or 'noise' as it's known as.
This can interfere with the signals carried through the CanM8 wiring.

Hope this explains a little?

Jason

Filled up with Tesco finest 99 and plus point it was 10p a litre cheaper than visit.

Other than that looked at damage bristols finest new speeds humps did.

Middle sanded out but the rest is requiring carbon filler.

Just filled mine up with Super+ from Germany, well chuffed paid 1.889 (£1.58 for 98 octane!) 70 litres later!!!
Also caused quite a stir in Germany, guy came up to me in the petrol station and actually knew the Elgrand as he visited Tokyo and saw loads on his visit!
Then I got stopped on the way through a German town by a guy that owned a stunning 1934 Plymouth PE (300BHP V8). He thought the Elgrand was American and when I told him it was a Nissan he was totally blown away!
Got to love these Elgrands.... seriously what vehicle turns so many heads for such little money, just love it!! :)

Finally got locking wheel nuts off after smacking double hex sockets over after previous owner coukdnt find them. Can finally see to tyres and suspension and such... no worrying about being stuck in case of a blow out now either!

Also, just fitted internal rear strut bar, rear seems a bit boaty though I couldnt get to adjustable suspension previously.

Just seemed a rare piece and cool 🤷‍♂️, will find out tomorrow if shores things up any. Its well out the way anyway.

I'm after a new battery and looked the one you've bought but the dimensions seam a bit big . Tge one I have in at tge moment is a bosch s5 005 which is 242×175×190 the yuasa is similar except its 330 instead of 242 so I'm not sure it will fit in my battery tray .

There is a guide on here for trimming the battery tray for the E51, I'm not sure of the E50s. Perhaps an E50 owner can chime in to confirm.

When it comes in I'll post some before and after pictures. I also have LPG from Simon @Lpgc so I'll have some pics of the valve fluid reservoir next to the bigger battery fitted.

This is the battery I'm looking at . Same size as the bosch and there are several reviews by Elgrand owners. And a damd site cheaper than the yuasa . It is only 60ah I stead of 100ah but it will fit my battery tray .
