10 days until I pick up my Rider Autech. Then I'm taking her everywhere.... Happy times!

Paid £4750 for a fresh self imported van direct from Japan, 4B, 117,000kms, on the road 28th Aug 2018, no major problems, just lots of replacements and upgrades by choice :)

If anything happened to mine, I'd just go and import another one (through a dealer next time though) :)

What do you mean by straight through cats? Have you taken the rear cats off?
 
Drove few miles to woodland for walk the dog in the rain. Was so smooth and comfy to drive back.

Did you disconnect the battery? Which battery do you have?
 
Packing the Elgrand is great. No low boot lids. Even got space for the dog and it drives great.
 
Perfect day, perfect drive, drove my new purchase home from Stirling to West lothian, no drama apart from the good lady who was following saying the lights kept flicking on and off now and again(weather was crap, it was auto lights) but told her I'll spend tomorrow trying to figure out what the problem is but I may need to spend the day looking for any issues 😀
 
Started my E51 yesterday after 10 days, drove over 90 miles to Warrington and back to deliver some aircraft parts in the back! She drives perfectly, starts every time. Going to miss her in the summer as she is not allowed to pull our new caravan as it is too heavy due to the 1500kg restriction placed on Elgrands!

  • I realised today that I've just passed the 100,000 Km mark on my '02' e51
  • A few service items of course and a door miror kindly knocked off by some prat passing too close, but otherwise, all is good still.
  • The only fault I've had was an intermittant fault with the LPG ECU (Not Simon BTW but he did give me useful advice on diagnosing) which was 'fun' to track down but didn't cause anything other than a minor irritation and was replaced F-o-C anyway.
 
50 mile round trip to Stirling and back. Battery had been disconnected for 4 weeks over Christmas. First drive for 8 weeks due to salt on roads etc. Started nae bother, nae sticking brakes. Lovely drive in the sunshine.
 
Drove like a dream all the way from south Wales to North Wales and back again. Used just over 3/4 a tank of juice, and averaged just over 23mpg. Pretty happy with that all in all.

Now she needs another wash though!
