There was someone on here a few weeks ago saying that they were doing it to an E52.
I think it was one of the dealers
 
Can't remember who but I think he was at a Haynes meeting
 
Reading through this & other threads,heres a question.......theres a guy on ebay selling Nissan map updates on dvd for a long list of various Nissan vehicles,will they work/has anyone tried one?

I’m now the proud owner of a S3 rider and I’m going to take the plunge for the entire package rear unit and bottoms from Estonia I think.
has Anyone modified the touch and rear tv screens to be HD by any chance?
maybe just the rear drop down. Is this easy to swap out and have integrated into the head unit ie opens when asked and closes as original does?

The series three has much better screens than the s1&2. They are decent enough quality to live with.
 
Also, has anyone managed to get apple CarPlay today work with Front dash touch screen on this new English coded head unit please? Thanks.

I’ve not pulled the head unit out or looked at connections to front screen yet. I’m still waiting for my registration doc to arrive.
she’s been sat on my drive looking all epic but I can’t drive the thing. It’s killing me 🤣.
I am considering installing amazon fire tv with plex and live tv channels streaming from my phones data. Also going to add an 8tb hdd for films for the little ones. I’ve50gig data a month on my phones I never get close to it 👍🏼
I will put a tv tuner in though too as I want to try getting that to work if we’re camping etc. This thread is brilliant. Thanks everyone.

Sorry Keith, I know youve covered this 1000 times. Ive read that much I cant remember where is what.
I see your buttons are english now. I know you changed them or tried. Did you finally buy the set from the Estonian guys or did you DIY them yourself? They look great. Do they illuminate?
Im just considering sanding them off and adding translucent paint. then apply text lettering to spray round and then removing the lettering once surrounding grey is dry. Clear lacquer. done. But id much prefer to just buy a set and save the time!!

xanavi have said $1240 USD including P+P for the english buttons and all unit cables etc. I think thats decent!!

The dealer connverted when i bought the e52 in Sydney works great. Gps voice is in english. Also put english stickers on buttons
 
I purchased one of these units off eBay, I asked a local ICE specialist if they would install it and they quoted £400 to £500 as they said it would not work. So I decided to have ago myself, after all the ad says just unplug the old attach the harness and plug in the new unit. The unit does not come with any instructions at all. I swapped it over in 1.5 hours after watching the YouTube video. I had 1 cable which was labelled image distributor, I contacted the seller and he said it’s lower down in the console, major job to get to. So all plugged in, radio fine, but the dvd will not play in front screen even with park brake and engine off. The sat nav knows where I am but will not track me ( I believe it is something to do with a motion sensor)and there is no display on that heater settings you have. So almost £1000 for normal fm which could have been done with an extender. I have had no help from the seller how has now stopped replying to my questions. Be careful guys, anyone with any ideas please let me know.

Not cheap but works really well, provides Carplay on the original screens. Ok the resolution ain’t the best on a Series 2 screen but it's fine for maps and music. £250 for the unit connected via the rear RCA sockets. Using this unit means I haven’t had to buy a new double din facia and I’ve retained the original a DVD player and multichanger CD player which suits me. Joy stick control works fine although you can add a touchscreen overlay if you wish.
