Nope, Lockwood dials is all I have. I was doing a steady 60mph using @Kenzie (Mary Poppins) driving techniques.
Glad ti be a help in this fuel crisis lol iv got a trip from Liverpool to Bournemouth
Bournemouth back to Liverpool week in work then a trip from Liverpool to Bournemouth then up to Taunton down to Devon for 10 days then back to Liverpool and will most definitely be using my fuel save technique

Mine was Kensworth to Farnborough via Watford for some cheaper full from Costco.

At a steady 60 on the motorway, using cruise, I get about 30mpg which is about what I'd expect from the 3.5. What am I doing wrong?

Edit: let me rephrase that, what are you doing right?
I also find that the reading on the car screen is a little on the optimistic side compared to my real world calculations from pump receipts.

I've been to hell and back over the last few days with my headlights. Mine have a lacquer layer from the previous owner, which is scratched and yellow. I've previously used a headlight restoration kit on them, which helped a bit, but they were still pretty rubbish and I got very jealous of everyone's crystal clear headlights on here.

Decided last week to attack the lights with a solvent lacquer remover (I know!!) and very quickly regretted my life decisions. It made a complete and utter mess of the light, which after the first full can had less lacquer on it, but it was all spread around and gathered in lumps. The headlight was completely opaque and I was panicking about what to do. I figured I was already committed, so I bought more solvent spray and attacked it again today. Bear in mind it involves spraying a small section and using a scraper to scrape a tiny layer at a time. I got it to the point where there were only a few stubborn patches left and then I started with the sanding....with 60 grit wet and dry paper! I went all the way to 5000 grit and then a quick polish.

It's by no means perfect and I do have to go back over again to remove some sanding scratches, but overall I'm bloody pleased that I don't have to drop £300 on a new headlight!

Just need to pluck up the energy and courage to start the other one now. No pics of the interim, complete mess stage as I was too depressed to capture that particular memory. Maybe I'll take one of the second light when I do that.

If anyone would like detailed instructions for my patented method then I suggest you save up and buy yourself some nice new lights!

I went down the wet n dry route , was a bit scary to start of with but came up lovely ..

Been doing my best hypermiling too for the last tank (almost all commuting to and from work), keep it under 60mph and avoid hills and traffic lights like the plague. Finally hit the elusive 600km with 2 gallons to spare.
Average for the tank is 9.7km/l, computer said 9.8 or 9.9.

My 2.5 hovers around 10l/km when crusing at 60mph on cruise, you need to spend plenty of time at 50mph or coasting to see higher MPG.

No idea. I never normally get anywhere near this. Can only put it down to early morning travel and the M25 being relatively free running.
I’ll try and remember to note my km total before the next fill up and update with the real world figures which I expect to be a lot lower.

I tested it on screen to fuel used and did a full thread on it I was out by 1%

Edit 1.29% difference to onboard computer

Picked up Ellie from the detailers today. Clay bar, 3-year ceramic coating and interior valet....she is looking gorgeous ready for Cornwall soon.

Had numerous people today ask me if the Elgrand was American and absolutely loved the bus! :joy:
Even had a guy ask me at the traffic lights in his Toyota Prius... my response "Nah mate its Japanese"!

The American theme is quite common I find. I think it's to do with the big chrome Rider grille. Yanks luv 'em 😎

Return trip was equally as efficient. Now it will plummet as it will be shorter start stop journeys.

I've done a 13km/l - 36.8mpg average on an A55/M53 crawl , steady 60mph. 10km/l - 28.4mpg (70"ish" mph :innocent:)average recently on the Lakes/Scotland trip. Mostly motorways and good A roads.
Last week I pootled around town mainly and was lucky if I saw better than 5km/l -14.5mpg
It is what it is, I bought the Elgrand with eyes wide open, I subscribed to a car I knew would beat Oliver Reed and George Best in a drinking contest.
What I didn't factor in was fuel prices doubling in less than a year!! 🤣🤣
