Where can I get parts?

Anyone in Canada have someone that they prefer? Most of the parts companies are useless in trying to source.

Don't have an Elgrand yet but just wondering if the gas or diesel is easier to get parts for.

Not sure there are many Elgrands in the USA? You might need to search around and about there a bit, to find out.

Certainly we can import things here in the UK and Europe and Aus/NZ can get parts easily too.

It's a big old country. Might take Private a long time doing that :)

Many parts will be standard Nissan issue, so you just have to cross ref the part numbers from other models of the same era.

Does that work for the diesel as well? Seems like that would be the more oddball one in the states. The gas engine from what I have read is the same as some Nissan cars we have here.

I think there were two versions of the gas engine. 3.3 litre and 3.5 litre. You may be better off with either of those than the oil burner.

Gary Mark Edwards and Saulius Beniusis are both great

This seems a good site for finding part numbers, or even where goes what!

Anyone have luck locating parts in Canada? I imagine engine parts for a VQ35 wouldn't be an issue as there are alot of other Nissans sold locally with the engine? Anyone have feedback on suspension?
I can tell you I just changed my struts over from an r 50 pathfinder to my E 50 Elgrand later years like yours I’m unsure

Well, where would you get parts for any other car?

Most motor factors stock general spares for the Elgrand now. Most service items are available including brakes, bearings and bushes. The BEST place to get your parts from is BMR (https://bmr-automotive.com/). He's a member here and will do his best to help. In some cases he may not be the cheapest, but that's because he doesn't sell cheap shit parts that will fail after a few months. He's an enthusiast and a mechanic, the best kind of person to buy from when taking care of your car.

As for other bits like body parts, bumpers, lights, seats etc. You are going to have to go to a breakers yard. There are plenty of places in the UK that are breaking Elgrands. I don't know them all, but there is a good one in York, or there is the Elgrand Warehouse in Cornwall. Expect to pay a lot for body parts. They are big and scarce. An E50 Rider bumper will set you back £600. An E51 Rider bumper will set you back £1000. There's an idea. The best advise here is... don't crash it or prang it! Often repair is cheaper than replacement... so look into quotes from body shops when possible rather than looking for replacements.

Aside from this, the alternative is to get the parts from Japan. This is possible, but expensive. There are a few places you can go to who regularly import parts. Ask them for a quote and they will get them over here as part of a bigger order they are placing. This will help with shipping costs etc. Delivery time from Japan can take a few months though, so don't expect it here next day.

As a closing statement... don't worry too much about it. We have 1400 members and all of them have been able to get what they need.
JDM Car parts is fantastic

Hi, picked up an Elgrand recently....2005 E51 and passenger back light has gone out. Not the bottom one, but the one near tailgate light bar. Its LED....does this have a fuse option to replace it as cant seem to find a whole LED light option to buy, only bulb.
Many thanks
S

I'll try BMR. Have used Amayama before, really good. Otherwise, local dismantler's yards. Try getting the cupholders out without breaking them!
