WHAT THE FUCK???!!!!

Jeez... Nearly £150 for a full tank of petrol at those prices.

I may start telling people (whom would like an LPG conversion but find there are no forecourts in their area that sell LPG) about the possibility of being able to run an LPG converted vehicle from a forklift (or similar) bottle which they could strap in the luggage area and exchange at their local gas depot (Calor / Flogas / etc). At maybe around £1 per litre for gas in (say) forklift bottles it isn't as cheap as most LPG sold at forecourts but would still be a lot cheaper than running on petrol. Probably even possible to have the gas bottle company deliver the gas. Just don't tell them it's being used to fuel the Elgrand as opposed to a forklift lol.
I saw LPG at 99.9p today Simon, on a forecourt near Ellesmere Port, rob-dogs

Normally I research the ducks backside out of most things before I go ahead. But a trusted source said hey use "rock salt on your driveway to kill the weeds I do it all the time" so I stupidly went ahead and bought 8x 25 kg bags of it to cover garden and driveway and spread a few bags over the drive and weed areas. Well, it has killed the weeds alright but has fucked up my driveway and then i suddenly remember that metal and salt don't mix and I park my Elgrand on driveway. Luckily though, she is properly undersealed but I'm having to park her on street just in case, until I hose off the excess salt. My new 1 year old driveway is now ruined....ffs
Rock salt is poisonous to animals, so if you have pets wash their paws after they walk through it, otherwise when they wash they'll become very ill or worse! 👎

" I'm sorry, I've backed your beloved van into a pole. Will need a new bumper and paintwork"
Thankfully, spouse and sprog unharmed, but begs the question ' what speed where you doing to cause that much damage?'
Might only be a cosmetic crack (and I've done that to part of the rear bumper already) but Mrs G is an eternal optimist, so if she's saying that, it must be fairly bad.
There's goes the holiday money, as I seem to recall they ain't cheap and are like rocking horse poo.
Dutifully contacted Tojo and a few others.
Pray for my bank balance.

iF insurers body shop can repair, that's good.
Course, being JDM, they're not going to be able to source the parts (because they won't use a breakers or specialists from EOC Facebook site.....
Definitely going to be an expensive one.😭

Shell Island is one of the best in the UK, they charge per head and you can take up as much room as you like as long as you are 60ft away from your neighbour
Camped here for the first time in a tent last year Aug bank holiday weekend the weather was amazing and it was beautiful. Can't wait to take the Elgrand although it won't be till next year!

Government the world over still require their pound of flesh. Won't be heading back down any time soon.
Interesting conversation with a customer of mine..... (@Lpgc might be interested in this)

He's running a fleet of Citroen vans, all converted to LPG. He invested in his own bulk tank to fuel them and is paying 34p per litre (las year it was 14p!!)
The heating at his works unit is oil-driven at 96p per litre, he is converting the boiler to a gas fired one, he reckons he will recoup his investment on the first fill of the LPG tank. I half-joked that he should offer refuelling services as he is out in the sticks surrounded by camp-sites and visiting Elgrands, he's having a think about it......

The real WTF bit is the filling stations charging up to 99p per litre, their margins must be massive compared to petrol/diesel. Whilst I know the demand isn't as high but their buy in price will be well below my guy who is running 15 vans.

Lot of piss-taking going on at the moment....:mad:

Edit: His monthly vehicle fuel bill has gone down from over £3000 a month to the low £hundreds, food for thought, community LPG hubs seem like an idea worth floating?

Mate, I did the same, I was barely on tickover but blind sided. Two ton of lovely bus pushes quite hard and bends metal easily.
Luckily, if that's the right expression, I hit one of those posts that bow out half way up so didn't break the bumper but did pop it off its clips.

My reaction wasn't anger but utter, utter sadness that I had now made the back bumper as unsightly as the front one that I ripped off on a high kerb. bollocks.......
