What have you done to your Elgrand today?

Didn't Harvey toot one of the side windows in? Is she a member? LOL
I remember that too
She'll be in a white one for the fast getaway from cameras etc , she forgot it's an Elgrand, they snapped her at a petrol station

Harvey had a hiccup moment and smashed the offside sliding door glass, he is a big, strong lad, so easily done.

I think Katie has been in many clubs………but not this one.

This ends the argument about which is best, black or white. There will be a glut of white for sale now and prices will crash.
Or maybe, all the chavs will want one now and prices will rocket.

Again not done by me but by Geraint who has now cleaned my PCV valve and loctited my swirl flaps and fitted my Carbing strut brace and the van is booked in for it's MOT on Tuesday so hopefully am going up to collect on Thursday giving me time to clean it before going up to stay overnight in a hotel Friday afternoon ready for an early start on Saturday morning for the Castle Coombe meet.
The even better new's is that screws on number 2 and 5 cylinders were coming loose but had done no damage :joy: but just goes to show how important it is to check these.
The even better better news:grinning: is that my air intake hose is starting to perish and is on it's way out so gives me an excuse to replace with a nice new Samco silicone hose in yellow.
And the even better better better news:D Geraint has told me the bushes in my front wishbones need replacing which was something that I suspected would need doing fairly soon so gives me the opportunity to upgrade to Powerflex and as this has all come from Geraint no arguments from my wife.
My Elgrand flew through it's MOT yesterday at well known and respected Elgrand importers Colin Price Motors with no advisories who remarked that the brakes are one of the best they have ever tested on a Elgrand which is testament to Geraint's work and the difference that the front brake upgrade makes :grinning:
Geraint has also fitted all new belts so only the Samco intake hose and the Powerflex bushes which are both ordered and awaiting delivery now to fit.
Just need to finish off the rear camper conversion and a few other upgrades that I have planned for the exterior and interior now:party:
Going up to pick it up tomorrow and can't wait to drive it:D

Today I took my Elgrand for its first CT on French plates and thanks to its brilliance and my diligence it passed with no issues other than they informed me that the front fog light aim needs adjusting. So all good for another two years of joyful motoring.

Just received my anti roll bar stabilisers and oil filter.
Just need the weather to sort it self out and then pray that they are not too much trouble to fit!!!

Getting the nuts off the old drop links was extremely difficult, even with a long breaker bar, had to use my foot on them.
Also, don’t bin the old nuts, you may need to use a couple with thread lock. My new nuts wouldn’t fit.

Julian was this for the rear drop links or fronts?
Im very concerned about trying to undo my rear drop link NUTS as they've been on the car by the looks of it for 21 years!! lol

It was the fronts mate, not done the rears.
might be worth getting some proper penetrating oil on them, not WD40.
I had to put so much pressure on I was scared of pushing car of axel stands, was nearly at angle grinder stage before they let go.
Mine didn’t even need changing, the bonking was fking golf balls hidden in engine bay.

B*gger been using WD40!
Might have to get hold of some penetrating oil then!

Changed the fan and AC belts before a long trip with the family on motorway.

Only to find driving up the ramps has exposed a weakness in the sidewalls of the 5 year old front tyres that were on the summer wheels . Causing them to crack quite a bit .
Looks like two new tyres to be on the safe side maybe it was a blessing in disguise .
