What have you done to your Elgrand today?

More a case of y'day, but every year I take my dog, near her birthday, here (don't ask me why). It's abut 15 miles from me.

And later going for a sleepover (not there lol)

Well, I finished work early after steaming through my jobs. Ended up doing the trans fluid and filter. Not going to sugarcoat it..... it's a proper shit job. Messy as fook and probably best doing it on a post ramp instead of on your back with everything a few inches from your face. Luckily, I had a plant nappy from work which saved the tarmac from being annihilated with Dex 6. Those 3 retaining nuts for the filter are an actual bastard. I ended up using 12 litres of fluid. Shifting has greatly improved. The old girl is very smooth for 22 years old. That's every fluid and filter done, now.

No wonder some Elgrand specialist mechanics either such air through their teeth, or advise it don't need doing :)

Lovely as ever Andy, I wish mine was half as shiny
I would slow down a little if I were you though, your shoulders are now so big they’re eating your head
Come to the darkside.
Darkside Dave would suit you

Yeh your right I suppose.
Yours looks the dogs danglies in white.
Pictures don’t always tell the truth in my case mate, the stripe is in dire need of removal ( it’s horrible in places) and the paintwork only shines because of quick detail jobs , it really needs the paintwork taking back and a little of your magic performing
Lots of jobs not quite finished, but I’ll get there——— one day lol

Good on ya for doing it buddy!
Still debating whether to do mine as Im sure my gear changes should be smoother. It was done by Brian a while ago and fluid still looks pretty good to me so Im on the fence at the moment! :no_mouth:

On the dipstick, mine still looked red. It was only when I changed my rad, I saw how dark it was. The dipstick on these things is a bit naff. Really hard to see the levels and lightens the fluid colour being bright silver. After going the whole hog on your poorly bus, this will be a doddle.

trying to find out whether I can get the ATF from The Netherlands at the moment if I do try and change the transmission fluid. They seem to have plenty of Kroon oil options but not a lot else! I agree the dipstick isn't the best at checking, wonder whether its worth pulling a pipe off by the radiator and seeing what the colours like! Wish there was away of seeing how other members gearboxes change as what I think is okay with mine might be completely different to how it should be. When members say their gears change smoothly its difficult to gauge how smooth is smooth if you know what I mean! lol

Driven gently, my changes are almost imperceptible. If I have to drive at just over 20 it seems to keep changing between two gears which feels a bit like a misfire but normally, pretty seamless.
