What do you have on your TV AUX

Do you have a 100v socket?
 
I’ve got the 12v 130w socket in the very back of the van, drivers side, where would the 100v be located?
 
The aux inputs were an option so not all have them. Series 3 are different too and there's scant information about them when it comes to wiring.
 
I have seen a YouTube video where the TV tuner box is in the drivers side furthest rear panel, and there is a connector for the aux cables with an adaptor, but in mine all the connectors have wires in them?
 
Yes, I think that's the case on a series 3.
 
IMO, if the dash has a button that says TV/AUX there must be AUX sockets. If you sit on the floor behind rear seats and look at the drivers-side sliding door, to your right near the door pillar should be a recessed area with three RCA connectors. They may be covered up with a plastic thing.
 
My 2008 S3 is the same @mikebirch1977
I have a front screen but no rear drop down screen.
No RCA inputs at the rear, but I do have an aux button/channel on the front head unit.
And it is selectable - just comes up with a blank screen obviously as nothing is inputted.

I've removed the rear drivers side panel also and located the TV tuner box, but like yours, there are no spare plugs. They are all used.

Surely there must be a way of connecting into that AUX channel.

Hi @johnboddington , yes I agree, there must be an aux connection hidden away somewhere, and I’m going to find it somehow!🤔

I’ll have another look now, I couldn’t find anything yesterday, but I’ll give it another go!👍

Yes that photo is exactly the same as mine, it must go somewhere with an aux connection on the end!
 
Series 3 head units are completely different from the earlier models. You may find the aux feeds the HU directly. If you have a look on Amazon.jp you might find series 3 aftermarket AV cables on there.
 
E52 uses a very similar HU also.

No definitely nothing on that panel, although I can see where they would normally be situated, so I’m thinking the connections could be behind that panel closest to the sliding door!🤔

meant to say, sit on floor behind front seats and look for it, just behind sliding door.
 
No nothing, I think I have found the input behind the rear panel by the TV tuner box!
I just don’t know how to upload photos? 😫
 
it seems like on the s3 if you dont have the rear screen then there is no external aux inputs. As for what im going to be using, i think i will do the touch screen mod to get android on the front screen on my s3. So i will have to use the aux ports to display the android system.
 
Yeah that sounds like it may be the only way, which Android unit are you going to use?

I’ve been looking for a 12v Bluetooth dongle, that will screen mirror etc etc, and can’t seem to find one!
 
Just been investigating the various cubby holes on my new Series III Rider (with no rear screen) and unearthed what looks like a digital TV tuner in the rear storage hole on the RHS (photo attached).

Looks like this has a 12v power lead which feeds into this as well so I'm wondering if this is the normal TV tuner or a different digital TV tuner which has been added later via the Aux channel? It seems to be a Panasonic unit and there is a little Panasonic remote in the car as well and also a Panasonic instruction manual (in Japanese).

I'm assuming this will be useless in the UK as per the normal TV tuner, but presumably the Aux in sockets and power could be used to wire in a Chromecast or similar onto the Aux channel?

I was expecting the TV tuner to be under the side panel, but perhaps it's different in the Rider?

That looks same as TV tuner in my S3 with drop down screen but I have another tuner somewhere
