URGENT - LIFE SAVING MEDICATION FUNDRAISER

Having to take Miami back to the vets at 16.15.
Unfortunately the bleeding is still very bad and now there seems to be more clots coming out and the smell of fish, sorry to be gross. We took her for a walk yesterday and she was amazing so this is very strange! The vets said maybe its time for some antibiotics. Please can I ask again for good vibes 🤞

Literally just sat down to the computer! She's back home, had another ultrasound followed by an antibiotic injection as they are still not sure what the issue is. We are worried its Pyometra but she's checked her womb and from what they can see it seems okay. The good news is its coming out her regions instead of staying inside. We took her for a walk straight after and she Wass happy as Larry! Vet is going to come to our house tomorrow to check up on her and then they are going to give her a stronger Antibiotic injection on Wednesday!
To say me and Yasmin are knackered is an understatement, we have not even eaten dinner tonight yet and its 22.35!

Try and keep strong fella, at least good news she is back home with you

Vets just came to assess Miami and things are not looking so good. Today she has refused to take her LDN via her food and she seems very Lethargic. Normally when my wife presses her wheelchair on she jumps up into life but this afternoon not so.
I know Ive asked this before from you guys but please send positive vibes. We are both so devastated as we have managed to fight the cancer for the past 5 months and now this womb infection looks like it could be taking her. There is surgery to remove her womb but we are terrified at her age whether she will make it through! Geez why is life so shit at the moment, on top of all our other c**p to deal with!

It was a good day yesterday, my wife finally had her electric wheelchair delivered after 9 years of legal battles!
In all those years the wheelchair has increased from around 21,000 euros to now 60,000 euros yes you did read this right the price of a sports car or many many Elgrands!
The rear camera as my wife cannot move her head/neck cost 2500 euros from the wheelchair supplier, but when my son looked it up you can purchase exactly the same item for 400 euros! This is the criminal market of wheelchair suppliers who can charge whatever they want as its for a wheelchair, truly shocking! On a good note though my wife can now lay flat when her oxygen/heart rate plays up and now she can walk beside me at eye level!

Hopefully excellent for you both

Good news buddy, albeit a bit expensive.
Hope it'll fit nicely in the Elgrand should you wish to move it.
Best to the whole family🫶

Great news mate.
You going to need a good set of ramps to get that in the Elgrand.

great news you can get folding ramps but get the longest you can as they can be a bit steep also check head hieght if she wheels it is whilst sate in the chair
The price is insane buddy @guf charged over 1000 euros for an oxygen holder! The mark up on the prices is insane!
@dognero the Elgrand is lacking space for it buddy! :(

Unfortunately no chance of getting this transported in the Elgrand, not the current one with the rear kitchen conversion possibly the silver if it was working but it does way around 190kg! :(
My wife has also applied to the council for wheelchair bus as they have funded this electric wheelchair so they have to in theory do what the medical reports say but you know how it goes with them! If so she will need something like a Mercedes H2 L3 or dare I say it a VW equivalent.
The other option is to convert the silver Elgrand into a trailer. behind the white one to carry her wheelchair in!

That's really good news Richard. About time innit? Onwards and upwards. What's the next mountain to move on the list?

My good news is that SWMBO (who has Dementia) was diagnosed with bowel cancer but refused to have a 'camera up the bum' job done.
We had to go private, but we found a surgeon who would remove the cancer without doing a colonoscopy first.

After a lot of mistakes that nearly fouled the whole thing up, she had the op on July 4th. She was admitted at 7.30 am on Thursday and was home at 5pm on Friday. She went shopping on the Saturday afternoon! Us old 'uns are tuff!

She's been out every day but one since. She had a blood test and a check-up yesterday and the bloods are 'very good' and she is healing 'very well ' and 'better than expected'. The sugeon said he got it all and she is now cancer free. Woo Hoo!

We are off up to Scotland for a week tomorrow so that she can have a rest and see the wildlife. (I'm organising an orgy).

I booked a cottage out in the wilds and we are taking our son and daughter with us.

When we get back I'll be putting a bit more effort into selling The Floozie. (Swap you for that wheelchair Richard?) :)

Thanks George and that's great news to hear on your side, so happy for you buddy!
Hope you have an awesome break with all the family mate. I would love to swap you for the floozie but I think the misses would have something to say about that as I already have two Elgrands! lol
The next hurdle is to get her disabled bathroom finished that has been going on since 2016 and sorting the mold issue out within the home!!

Hey all,

Been away from the forum for the past 4 weeks or so as unfortunately me, my wife and son all had Covid for the first time, managed to avoid it for many years but it got us in the end!
Taken a while to get over it and poor Yasmin it hit a lot harder due to her immune system.
We have also been dealing with many issues as always includling her new wheelchair that was delivered with a fault, yes I am not joking a 60,000 euro wheelchair that is already problematic and may need to be replaced for a whole new wheelchair! Anyway hope to be back communicating on the forum! :)

Thought you had been quiet but guessed it was due to your situation. I've had covid twice despite all the vaccines. Good to see you are back in action and recovering.

On the subject of mould in the home...
I used to sell a very simple and inexpensive solution to this problem.

If it is rising damp (below 1 metre from the floor) then that's a different problem and can be fixed by a builder.
If it is above 1 metre then it might be penetrating damp and that can be fixed by a builder.

The type of mould I got rid of was caused by the fact that we produce a lot of water vapour from our everyday activities, breathing, washing, etc, and this can cause mould if the air in the property is not kept moving - because we like our homes to be almost airtight nowadays. It usually forms on the coldest - usually north-facing wall and on furniture and clothing that is kept in a cold room - especially leather goods.

The solution I sold was simply a very quiet extractor fan that worked in reverse - it pulled air in through a filter and pressurised the house. This kept the air moving and forced it out through any gaps it could find, including doors and windows.

We usually installed it in the ceiling above a stair well and it used the slightly warmed air from the loft space but it could be installed almost anywhere.
It was a two-speed fan and we started it off on the highest speed and in almost every installation it was turned down within a month as the problem had gone.
