URGENT - LIFE SAVING MEDICATION FUNDRAISER

Not been on the forum much for a while after being told in November 2021 that my Mum just had days to live. The old lass is proving them wrong so far yes when told she had a massive brain Tumour and they said just days I would have agreed. But here we are and she is still fighting and celebrated her 91st birthday in May yes I know she is going to pass but dont know when. I look at things this way she has had a good life yes I will be devastated when it happens. But for an Insurance company to deny life to someone as young as your wife is criminal when they wont fund the medication they need. I hope this reaches the best conclusion for her and soon my prayers are with you

So sorry to hear about the troubles you have had with your mum, but glad she is still with you at 91 years old!
We are still fighting here and have a court hearing in the coming months so hopefully it will be the end of this and then we can start living our lives again!
Thanks again for your care and concern, best wishes.

So just been recently informed that my wife's medication court case has been set for next week on my wife's birthday!!!
It was meant to be originally a 3 judge trial, but the defendants (Local Authority) wrote to the court and requested for it to be a one judge trial which the court accepted without question or consultation with us (the persons bringing the case)!
Mmmm does this sound a bit off to anyone else, especially when the court is local to the defendants and likely that they all drink and socialise together e.g. The Rotary Club!
Interesting though when my wife lawyer requested a new court date, as he had forgotten to tell us about the hearing so we missed the deadline to submit documents to the court... my wife was refused with no explanation!! Looks like something stinks around here!!!
Now they also write in the letter that all parties must be in court in person when they no the situation with my wife and she cannot attend due to the risk with her health so all hearing previously have been done digitally!

To top this all off they recently performed an MRI on my wife's brain due to many new scary symptoms and they informed her that the scan was clear and they were not going to investigate further. Luckily my wife and her best dutch friend know how to interpret MRI images and discovered that my wife's pituitary gland was completely flattened and non functioning due to CSF fluid around the pituitary gland, basically something they should have seen on the imagery themselves, but my wife had to fight with the doctors and tell them to look again and to report on this...
Guess what she was correct and they have now performed new blood tests which they refused to do originally!!! In the past few days these blood tests have come back and confirmed the diagnosis and currently we are both extremely scared and anxious of the findings, as the only solution is brain surgery which she is not well enough for at this time! :cold_sweat:

Fingers crossed for your wife and you bud

As others have said mate stay positive and don't let them grind you down as this is what they want and hope that you will give up,
Best of luck on the hearing and hope it all goes well for you and your wife.

Hey guys as some of you are aware we are travelling to Spain soon for medical reasons for my wife.
Rather than repeating myself with the same information here, the fundraiser description explains what has happened over the past few months.
I understand if people cannot help due to the crazy prices of life for a lot of us but even if you cant help with a donation I would appreciate the help by sharing the fundraiser.
Thanks again all of you in advance, your support to my wife and myself is very much appreciated!

Donated mate, madness that you have to cross the continent for treatment! Best wishes and ๐Ÿคž

Thank you so much @RuskinStreet Keith for the donation.
Yes its madness that we have to travel so far, we have had to do this trip 3 times now since 2015 but this time we have had much less time to prepare for such a long and important journey.

Donation sent hope all goes well for you both

Thank you so much @Michael6457 for your donation, it is much appreciated and will really help. ๐Ÿ‘
If theres anything I can help you with on your Elgrand in the future please just ask!
My wife also says thank you from the bottom of her heart!

Wow car is virtually packed, that was a bit of a mission literally every cubby hole is full! lol
I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to those members that have helped my wife get to Spain for the testing she needs, we are so grateful and without your help this would not be possible.
We also had some amazing help from my wife's dear friend who has arranged for us to stay in a medical facility appartment in Barcelona so we do not have the stress of camping for a few days during her testing.
As we did not reach our fundraising target a friend of a friend has kindly lent us the remaining amount we needed to cover the medical costs.
Again thank you guys its means a lot to me and my wife!
I am not sure when I will be back on the forum as we are only taking my son's ipad rather than risking taking my laptop but I shall try and keep you updated if I can work it out! ๐Ÿ‘
