Hello, though!We went to the village of Slyudyanka on the weekend. Slyudyanka is located on the shore of Lake Baikal. There are 2 quarries there for the extraction of marble, mica, and some native stones. We visited the shaman cape. Many centuries ago, shamans were buried there, and archaeological excavations have been conducted there for several decades.

In Slyudyanka we tried to get to the first quarry, but the road was blocked by security. We walked around.
Lots of marble chips.

And of course after the trip Elgrand prepared a surprise for me) A break in the wire to the crankshaft position sensor. I had to look for a break for a long time. I didn't find it, so I pulled a new wire from the EFI unit to the crankshaft position sensor. Everything works)

My rusty hello!
The last stage of body welding. Front left side. Through corrosion. Spent all Saturday fixing it. In the end, the last step was to weld part of the threshold, primer. Next spring, a full paint job on the car. All that's left is to choose the style and color.
In winter, I plan to order interior elements, sew covers.
I officially declare that this van is free of rust!

Disappointment in Goodyear tires...In 2019, I bought new winter tires Gubier Ice Arctic (made in Germany)! In the winter of 2023, radial hernias formed on 2 wheels. 70 percent of the studs were lost.
In 2021, I bought a new Goodyear Wrangler AT / SA from Japan. 2 days ago, a radial hernia on one wheel....What's wrong with Goodyear....Why do Bridgestone, Dunlop and Goodrich tires last for decades...?
Winter is coming, I need to buy something.. I look at the price and understand that I need to take, forgive me, Chinese rubber, some kind of triangle, goform or "chak-chak" or these are brands of cars, I don't understand.

Treat yourself to a set of HIFLI Vigorous MT601s - they last forever...they are not re- moulds so the tread stays on unlike Grizzly Claws which shed their blocks.
If you really need studs then screw in your own, the shoulder blocks are 22mm deep.

After treating my e51-post-sell depression I’m now in the stage of my life where I’m buying e50 in diesel - because I’m a diesel guy. Gonna read this thread from beginning just to see if there’s anything I’ll have to pay attention to.
I just finished with “other diesel” where it is pushing 260 ponies but I need a van back.
I suppose I should get it with a week or two when I’m happy after inspection.

I would recommend buying a 3.2 diesel, not a 3.0.
3.2 is a cast iron tractor, simple and reliable like an AK-47. Any problems with the 3.2 are only related to the wiring, the mechanical part is eternal.
3.0 is certainly progressive, but has a bad reputation, both on Elgrands and on Patrols.
