Im thinking of buying a Nissan Elgrand 2007, 3.5 automatic and was wondering about road tax, fuel and insurance. Please help

I'm planning to get an Elgrand next year so currently pondering whether to order one from Japan or buy one that's already here. I've never imported a vehicle before so does anyone have any advice about the process of ordering one from Japan?
I think there's a thread about it by one of the members of this very own forum

Thanks Guf! I should have thought of that :)
No worries mate, that's why we're here.
Keep reading, there's plenty interesting topics all over the forum

Everyone seems to moan about how much fuel Elgrand's use, but compared to nearly every thing else petrol is pretty cheap, most every day items / expenses have doubled or trippled in last couple of years, petrol is pretty much the same !
Every mile you drive it costs 35p in fuel, 100 miles of luxury for £35....Bargin !

I had a 2007 Nissan Elgrand myself! For road tax, it varies by location, but it's generally moderate for this model. Fuel-wise, she loves to eat. Insurance costs are higher for larger vehicles but you can find better options with Priceva.

it helps if the car you had before the Elgrand was a bit thirsty, my MG ZT was about 25mpg round the town and the Nissan is just a bit less, hardly noticeable if you don't keep making excuses to go out and drive it !!!!! :D
