Yes, Admiral have gave their renewal for early October, and I'm going to add that/bargain that when I ring. I've got Churchill as a back up, as I did a price comparison and they came out at pretty much the same price (just under £500), with windscreen cover, but their breakdown cover wouldn't include home assist at that price, whereas Admiral's do.
I didn't ask for it last year as I'd read of problems with sourcing them (windscreens) and Colin Price said he knows someone who can do them and off the top of my head, didn't sound too expensive. So I thought why bother including it with insurance. But of course positive reports of people having them unfortunately done, plus even if heated (as mine is), I thought it'll be a no-brainer to add it on with the renewal, as of course i don't know if Colin Price's source can/will do a heated one too. Tips and things you kind of learn during Elgrand ownership
 
I tried to take a photo of the round thing on my windscreen, but because it was still light the flash on my phone did not fire, so the image is not clear. I will try again when it gets dark.

On further investigation it looks like it might be a microphone, as it has many small holes in it (not visible on my poor photo) and a wire that comes out of it and goes into the headlining.

Does anyone have any ideas what it could be, or do any of you have the same thing that can shed any light on what it is please?

I've only just noticed this after 2 years of ownership. 😂

It's to stop the snow sticking at the end of the wiper travel and causing the wiper to jam against the freezing snow
