I think all the E51 owners will have to die first, and that won't be anytime soon when people keep selling them, and more and more are being converted into campers.
Although I think there have been some E52s converted they don't have the same appeal. Just my own thoughts of course.

Just put down a deposit for a 2009 E51 HWS, then got to wait on camper van conversion, first time owner of Elgrand. They had a E52 camper ready to go, but waited on the E51.

Had mine now for about 6 months, after looking ended up with a E52 Autech Rider with the high performance spec. It has been damn nice to drive and Im just about to put in some new front control arms and coilovers

I have the E50 Autech Rider, 1999 with full leather trim and the 3.3 Litre V6.
hopefully we'll get some idea (and plenty of warning) of the Japanese supply running low.. surely one day they have to run out of E51s to be able to send us.. I still see fresh imports, and .jp auction houses with low mileage examples available..

There was just over 200,000 E51's sold, so I think there are still plenty in Japan to be shipped to the UK at some point, if there is the demand. Obviously as the E51's age people may look to the E52, or Toyota or Honda for newer vehicles, but that will probably be a long way off for the hardened E51 enthusiast, and when you look at how many people still own E50's. They make great camper conversions, so I think the E51 has got many years of life yet.

You're right. Iv not seen any E50s in the area. Now... If you're the only one in the hood then I suspect it might have been you I saw this morning on Longton Bypass (A59). That was me flashing at your car. Was in a bit of a hurry so please don't think I was trying to barge you off the road.
Funny, further along the journey to work I saw a white E52 on the M65 east bound just before Pleasington junction. Looked very identical to mine down to the body kit. Good to see others with similar taste in cars. Flashed and switched my hazards. Yes that was me coz I was late for work
