Last time I looked there's a breakers in the Netherlands that has a complete rear door for a series 1.

International shipping - ouch! Try @Richard Fox , he's in the Netherlands. Sure he mentioned someone breaking Elgrands over there 👍 @LeStempy - do you know of anywhere on the Continent?
 
well i just adjusted the foot/hand brake i think i made it worse (twat) ill get the discs off before mot and put the new shoes i have had for three years on (the twirly thing was moving but cant see ) oh and my mrs just said we need to start saving for christmas its one bit of bad news after another

You might have over adjusted them Bob , it’s easy done, if so , only one end of the shoe can touch down instead of the whole surface.
Try backing them off a little, can’t hurt to try by the sound of things
 
i think you might be on the button dave and yes to julians answer as well my nipper and me will rip it apart next week and stick the new shoes on it can only help
 
I adjusted my new shoes then drove around pushing the brake on for a bit, then off, for a few miles then readjusted using the twiddly things and all is well now. Didn't adjust at the pedal as I felt that should not be necessary.
 
The twiddly things should be self adjusting as the shoe wears if all parts are fitted and working correctly but they can stop working correctly. Obviously when you fit new shoes the twiddly things need winding in. The shoes get very little wear though because they're only used for the parking brake, in fact they may never need replacing.

Mine aren’t self adjusting and I don’t think they ever were
I’ve seen a couple of others that don’t have the mechanism and only have the “twiddly” bits ( my new site favourite words now lol)
