What have you done to your Elgrand today?

Finally pulled out all traces of the Japanese ETC device including all it's wirings.

Thought I'd get this topic underway :)

It's quite popular on many car forums and is a nice way of highlighting something new you've done with your Elgrand be it a modification, a repair, general maintenance or just took her out for a great drive :)

Just add to the thread as and when.

Who will start us off? :)[/QUOTE

Locked the keys in the car after getting out from the manual sliding door 30 miles from home.it defeated the RAC man,s inflatable fun bags and trusty set bent to buggery metal rods,he rang a lock smith who said he hadn't got the right type of jigglers for it and suggested smash a window.at that point I borrowed RAC man's phone(naturally mine also in the car)my top dad :innocent: made a 60mile round trip with the spare key.6 and a half hours chill out time at Peterborough A1M services:sun::cool:!!!

Went and picked up a can of brake cleaner and a 22mm socket and set about changing the front disks.

Driver's side first, no problem. Passenger side went ok..until I found that CV boots are still the bane of my life

Straightened the wheels up and pushed the outer boot back on but doubt it'll stay there for long.

More TLC required from it's Uncle Brian then.

As I've been thinking about new wheels I found the size of the fronts. I was expecting the markins to be in the centre but they're handily on the outer rim so I can eyeball the rears to make sure the offset is the same.

So for reference:
8Jx18, ET40 Rims
235x50x18 tyres
Tiny (and I mean tiny) rub on the drivers side inner arch on full right lock. Couldn't see any on passenger side.

Fitted my new rear view mirror dash cam. Cost about £30 from Amazon and so far very happy with it. Play back is very clear, apart from when driving directly into the sun.
Just got the reverse camera to install and wire up to it when I've got a bit more time. 20180804_134625.jpg20180804_134656.jpg

Drove from Bristol to Southsea and spotted only 1 Elgrand, 4 bongos, a cube and millions of Trannies 🤮🤮💩.

Highlightlight was smoking an Audi Q5 at Newbury roundabout (encouraged by kids) left him standing after engaging power button. His face 😱 and mine 😆😁.

Fuel was ok too managed 9.6kmpl at 80-85mph with aircon on. 👍

Not exactly done anything as such but wanted to share my experience of how my overnight camping trip went! Spacious comfortable cosy I think it will become a regular thing! It isn't converted as a camper but it has enough space for the basic camping essentials! Now looking out for a drive away awning.

Went to south Gloucester show and was asked so many questions about van. Made the guy who parked next to me sick in his £65k caravelle.

Best mpg ever today
