What have you done to your Elgrand today?

Squeak squeak, yip tightened up the belts again, like every six months, won't get gates belts again.
They look fine but just seam to stretch constantly

Started a bit of a winter project this week, interior ( cockpit) changes , have ordered black trims for some of the existing cream/beige ones as I like the cream/black combo but started renovating these “old” leather seats ( fully electric though with lots of adjustments my original ones are missing) first , they were slightly cracked, dirty and discoloured etc, need sealing but coming up well so far

checked my tyre pressures (finally) as it was pulling to the left a bit, N/S/F had 26psi in it rears had 30 & 35psi. all at 40psi and drives in a straight line now yeah i know should of checked them sooner.

Have now moved the lugs on the back of the Alfa flowing indicators and they now fit perfect and I think look a lot better and the shape of them suits the Elgrand well and a more modern look than the standard Elgrandindicators





I have also now taken the 2 main lips on the front and back and the other fixing hardware on the sides off of the bottom of the Impreza scoop and it is now virtually flush and given it a bit of a clean up and will give it a couple of light coats of black top coat tomorrow from a couple of very nearly empty spray cans that I had left over which should help to give a better idea of what it would like when fitted to my black bonnet.

Surprising how much was on the bottom of it and there is still a bit of ridge under where the vertical bars on the mouth of the intake are fixed which I had left for now as I do not want to weaken these if I could help it but have just tried it sat on the bonnet and think these could really do with coming off or at least being reduced as they are holding the scoop a bit higher than I would like and also making it a bit too rigid lengthways but is I think starting to come together.

I had been thinking about it and looking at the shape of the scoop thought that it could work as a reverse scoop so whilst trying it today tried it this way round and think that it works pretty good as I think it keeps to the flow of the bonnet better and I like that it is is a bit more unusual than the more normal vent to the front and may well end up going this way.

With the lips and other hardware off it is now quite a bit more flexible than it was which I am hoping is a good thing as it should make it easier to mold to the shape of the Elgrand's bonnet

Hopefully the weather is a bit better in the next few days and that I can get out to test fix it with double sided tape just to get an idea if it works.

Gave my Elgrand a well deserved wash today, then began a bit of wax treatment but only got as far as the bonnet before having to cook dinner. She still scrubs up well for an old bird.

Done nothing on mine or anyone else's Elgrand today, but I have been working on a Lancia Thesis with the AlphaRomeo V6 engine, we don't see many Lancia Thesis in the UK.

Nothing today but yesterday she turned 296,000km on the way back home!
Aarrrh the dutch roads are so silky smooth, I will not miss the UK road network that's for sure!

Started mine up this morning, parked not to far from garage roller door, opened door to get some bits, closed door and drove off. 15 mins later get a panic call from the other half to say the monoxide alarm in garage has gone berserk, and the garage stinks of petrol....oops...she's a bit fumey when she starts...and the Elgrand is no better......measured 150ppm apparently...

Put Nisa in for her MOT along with the gearbox filter and fluid change. All passed. So now to get some new brake disks, pads and shoes.
