What have you done to your Elgrand today?

Took my Elgrand out for a proper drive for the first time today since I got it back from Geraint last week without my wife being with me since having the Nismo arbs

And the this Cusco rear underbody brace fitted

Now got a total of 6 underbody braces and a strut brace fitted.

Also fitted on the Nismo arbs are new polyflex purple D bushes to replace the rubber bushes that were on my standard arbs

Pushed it a little bit on the bends and it feels very solid and planted with very little body roll and I think that these changes have improved the handling quite a bit over what it was like before even with the coilovers and braces fitted.

Gives a nice firm but still comfortable ride and whilst it is never going to stay with some of the hot hatches in the bends is now night and day different and a far more enjoyable drive for my preferences to how it was when I first bought it with its rather tired standard suspension components.

Played about a little bit with the damping settings on my coilovers but ended up not changing them from the current settings as these were pretty much spot on to how I like it.

I think I am about there now with my suspension set up so will be arranging for Lee at FCM wheel alignment in Bristol to set up the tracking which although it does not seem too bad at present I am certain he can improve it for me.

For anybody who is close to Bristol and wants there Elgrand tracked forget Kwikfit, I have used Lee several times over the years on my other cars and he knows his stuff especially if you have made any modifications as he will set up for you how you prefer it not what a computer tells him and does a lot of work on track cars etc.

Booked in for its mot. Can't believe it's nearly been a year already! Then gave it wash in preparation 😊View attachment 117534

Still looking amazing Rob😍

Becoming very jealous with all the new fancy parts you guys are fitting! lol
My most excitement has been fitting some standard springs on the rear to get mobile again! lol

But don't forget that you're the only one here with a polished engine.

Yes that did hit me between the chest! lol
1 year of polishing every single part! lol
Not everyone would have such dedication. I thought about polishing mine but in the end the effort to result ratio went the wrong way. I'd want a window in the bonnet so it could be seen, and a transparent engine cover.

At last! I have finally finished swapping out the front suspension bushes, wheel bearings and ball joints. Honourable mention to @BMR and @stevemen without whom this wouldn't have been possible 👍
And now the N/S rear brake is binding..... FFS 🤣

New pads ordered, just hope the caliper just needs some gentle persuasion, the beast has been parked up more than driven the last six months. That won't have helped matters...

I bought these eyebrows a couple of days ago, which are for S2/3 and thinking they will not be too long vertically to fit on my S1 with the split headlights

Thinking that I might have to reduce them a bit in height something like this by taking a bit off of the bottom point.

I did look at getting a pair of the ones which are not so deep vertically but would prefer these so hopefully I can get them to fit.

The ones on the bottom part of the lights below are the same as what I have recently fitted to my Elgrand and the top eyebrows are what I am hoping will be what I can end up with

They are currently in G30 and I will be having both the top and bottom eyebrows hydrodipped in carbon to match my grill,

Also today I fitted the DAD Garson monogrammed mats that I bought a few months ago and really pleased with them so have bought a set of brand new front and rear step mats to match although these cost more than 5 times what I paid for the complete set of second hand mats although they did come with free postage in Japan.

Shown on a Alphard but I have got them for a Elgrand.:D

Made to order so will not ship until the end of the month.
