"Tractor" diary. Elgrand from Siberia. E50.

Musical greetings!
The search for radio plugs was unsuccessful. I ordered a set of pins, heat shrink and labels. I also ordered an adapter for the antenna, since the Nissans of the 90s have a non-standard plug (Hurray Nissan). I ordered a new (used) radio panel. I'm waiting for everything to arrive and for the installation to take place.
Well, while it's warm, we went skiing in the village)

Hi!
I started "designing" the spare wheel bracket.Instead of a lock. I took a steel pipe with a diameter of 57 mm as a basis. I will use a ball and a lock for trailers. The hinge with 2 bearings was turned at the factory.
I ordered a small bracket on a laser cutter, having previously made a model from cardboard.
I will mount the bracket on the right rear side of the bumper.
I'm waiting)

What, no pictures of the Russian pancakes?! 😤😂😋

Wonder if they're thick or thin, and what toppings 🤔
especially for you what's left)
I make pancakes every Saturday morning) usually they are thin and crispy. my wife eats them with melted lightly salted butter. I eat them by mixing raspberry jam and sour cream. my son eats them with maple syrup.

Ok, different preferences, similar to our family.
We make them most weekends. My wife likes them thin with butter, and lemon juice. The kids like them thin with butter and maple syrup. I grew up in Canada so like them thick and fluffy with a big wedge of butter and lots of maple syrup, or soft brown sugar 😋

Have a good weekend!

Pancake greetings)
We have a holiday called Maslenitsa (traditionally in Rus' we burn an effigy, that's how we say goodbye to winter) this morning I got up at 7.00 and started baking pancakes. then I went to the garage to do some welding.

I’m celebrating Pancake day by having 6 surgeries on my back….. roll on Tuesday.😬

I wonder if Pancakes will be served in Theatre?

Maybe not. 👎

Spring greetings!
Installed a new "old" radio and panel. Now I can enjoy my favorite discs) I also listen to music through the phone via the FM modulator. I plan to order "yatur" - a device that connects to the radio in the CD changer input and gives the radio such functions as bluetooth, aux, handfree.

Hi)
I bought a panel with a clock) I am gradually improving the Elgrand's configuration) The most interesting thing is to dig into the electrical circuits to connect the clock correctly. The answer has been found, I am waiting for the panel)

I'm thinking about purchasing a set of parking antennas for the bumper and possibly an electric step (but there will be difficulties here, I don't have an electric door, I'll have to come up with a connection diagram)

@Boris, what happened to the original clock. Just stopped working??
I had the power door on my old van and didn't realise it was a rarity. I also had the steering wheel controls for the stereo which I do miss now!

I have the J package - these are 2 hatches, no clock, a simple 1-din radio without CD and cassettes, a closer only for the rear door, no TV or navigation, no heated side mirrors (I installed this a long time ago). In general, this is the simplest version, only with hatches and 4WD)

Interesting. You'd have thought a clock would be standard across models!
Shame they didn't use a standard wiring loom to support upgrades.
My 3.5 dashboard display has non illuminated icons for electric door and step which it doesn't have, and my old 3.2 had middle row trim that suggested I could fit tweeters but no wiring behind the trim.
I miss my cassette player as still have a large cassette collection. My 3.5 has a mini-disc player, but mini-discs are crazy expensive now.
Are there many spare E50 parts for sale where you are, as they're becoming very scarce over here?

The clock was not on the panel, but in the 1din radio. I have a Japanese Elgrand catalog up to 1999.. There is an incredible amount of goodies, little things that I would like to have)
I find spare parts in the city of Vladivostok. This is a port city, in the 90s there was a BOOM for the import of Japanese cars to Russia and it continues (less because of sanctions) now. In 2012, even I bought small cars kei-cars 0.7l (Daihatsu mira, Suzuki Alto), drove to Irkutsk and sold here). Not a bad business, but I am not a seller, but an engineer)
There are no problems with spare parts. The distance between Vladivostok and Irkutsk is 4000 km, this is not a problem, since all the JDM cars went Vladivostok - Khabarovsk - Chita - Irkutsk - and further west to the Urals and the central part of Russia. 70% of cars in Irkutsk are right-hand drive, so we are quite supplied with spare parts)
