"Tractor" diary. Elgrand from Siberia. E50.

Snowy Hello!
The temperature dropped to -25 over the weekend) It snowed a lot at night. The tractor spent the night outside in the yard. Ideal conditions for checking the battery and engine. I warmed up the glow plugs 3 times. The voltage was 11.8V, not bad at all. It started quickly with an "explosion" as a diesel engine should.
A week has passed since replacing the oil radiator gaskets. The amount of oil on the radiator cap has been decreasing day by day. And now the cap is clean. Next weekend I will remove the expansion tank, wash it and partially replace the antifreeze with new one again.
So far, I am thinking about how to correctly measure the seats in order to sew new covers. I am also thinking about the design of the spare wheel mount on the rear bumper, like on SUVs. I do not want to store the spare wheel in the cabin, since in the future I plan to redesign the 3rd row in the Campal style.

Let it snow, let it snow..
Just yesterday evening I cleared the snow, did a great job on insulating the house..
I really like working outside on warm, snowy winter evenings. By the way, last night it was only -13.
But overnight a huge amount of snow fell, even now, already sitting at work, the snow continues to fall, slowly burying my car)
By the way, the road to work took 1.5 hours.. Huge traffic jams on the highway and in the city

Here are some low-quality photos from this morning)

culinary greetings!))
The tractor is driving.. There is nothing special to write)
It got colder on the weekend - 25. Finally, winter is felt.
I decided to cook stollen - a traditional German Christmas dish)
I want to know, English friends, what are the traditional dishes in your country for New Year and Christmas?)
A few strange photos from my kitchen)

For a sweet treat we have mince pies laced with whatever alcohol is available. I cook the Christmas lunch with the aid of a bottle of Fitou. Then at three o'clock we are supposed to watch the King's address to the nation, but most people are asleep by then, having endured whichever war film they decide to repeat.

These are a Christmas tradition in our house, mini truffle Christmas puddings.

The idea is to eat as many as you can, until you feel sick, then have a rest and carry on. 😋

This is a favourite that my mum made every year when I was growing up in Canada.

Christmas cake, Christmas pudding, roast turkey, baileys in everything I can put it in and as I'm chief cook on Xmas day I prefer to start the drinking off gently with a few glasses of bucks fiz but it has to have a shot of vodka added with each glass, I shall raise one to you on Xmas day 😁

Very interesting! I'll try to figure out the recipe and cook it during the New Year holidays! I think it will be very tasty with strong coffee!

We have the same thing) WE eat... then we eat a little more... then we rest and eat again)))
From the moment we moved into the house, I got into cooking)

Thank you!! On December 31st I will also raise a glass to you, but soda) I don't drink alcohol)

Does anyone make bread?
I started making sourdough along with everyone else over lockdown and make some pretty good loaves, focaccia, and pizza now.
Pretty basic stuff but amazing for me compared to what I could do beforehand, and I'd never buy frozen pizza again!
