Towing

Usually when you hire a trailer you need to return it to where you collected it.

Using my Elgrand I have towed a car trailer with another Elgrand on it no problem.

I had a bar already on my E51 2.5.
I bought the tow hook for it and I have a small trailer for camping and tip trips etc.

I've recently bought this and doing a bit of a refurb with intention of towing with my E51 3.5 ltr, to many holiday trips in the new year ! Caretta Turtle 1200 teardrop camping trailer - only about 300 kgs.20251117_144541.jpg

Looks great! You will have plenty of fun with it and definitely no trouble pulling that with the 3.5!
Doubt you will feel it's even there. 👍

Yeah, looking forward to using it. I'll probably do a thread on it in the camping section later.
It was about 80 miles from where I picked it up to home - towed like a dream !
 
I really need to get round to hooking Kermit the tow-car up to the Elgrand just to see how it feels, pointless really but interested.
