My name's Dave I bought an E51 Highway Star 2007 just imported. Was looking forward to driving it. Had to get dealer to deliver it as self isolating. But loving it. Bought because my daughter had twins so we can all go out together also a bit of stargazing for me. Bought a Decathlon Air Awning for camping will take a few things to camp rather than doing a conversion. Keep Safe Everybody hope to see a few of you asap. Thanks to Karl and other admins this forum is keeping me sane in these trying times.

Good afternoon all. We are Andy (me), Amanda and our son James. We live in Shrewsbury. We got our "EVIE" E51 back in Feb 2018 as a bit of an impulse buy to upgrade from using tents Have never looked back. We got her a camper conversion in Oct last year but yet to be used as such. Have done a few small bits to her (wheels powder-coated, new head unit and suspension bushes). Would like to do a lot more so will progress over time. We have been to Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and the South, so have covered a few "Expensive" miles, but fun. Really need to get to a "real" meet at some point.IMG_20200403_170317.jpgIMG_20200405_123711.jpgIMG_20200405_124135.jpgIMG_20200403_170310.jpg

Hi! I started years ago with a Nissan Largo Highway Star, moved up to an Elgrand E50 and last year bought an '05 E51 Highway Star with an Infiniti body kit. Use it as a daily driver as well as plenty of camping trips. She is called Ghost.
This is mine with Ellie the Skellie and Joanne the wife. She was really looking forward to attending shows this year..... not sure about the wife though... 😋

The box on the floor is my "lights, camera, action" stuff that will eventually go on the van.

Hi Everyone

I live in South West Hertfordshire, but originally from the East Midlands.
I only got my Elgrand at the end of January. It's a series 2 XL. This is what it looked like when I bought it;

Here's a few of things I've done;
  • De-badged rear
  • A few LED bulb swaps (number plate, reversing lights, side lights)
  • Amazon Fire TV stick and Miracast box
  • @Elementian 18" middle box
  • Forged Rays, powder coated brake-dust grey, new Bridgestone tyres (225/50/18 front, 245/50/18 rear)
  • Engine Detox Treatment (EDT)
  • Headlight refurb
  • Driver seat refurb (colour matched by liquid leather/gliptone)
  • Cleaned it like a man possessed

Hello all, I'm Phil from Leicestershire, I'm 42 and a front line Police officer, so still working at this strange time.
I've owned the Elgrand for about 2 months and love it. I've been driving a Nissan Leaf for the last 3 years but that's going in a couple of months at the end of the contract View attachment 32307View attachment 32310View attachment 32311View attachment 32312. Not use to paying for fuel so got to get use to that again, but I used to have a bmw with a 4.4 v8 that drank fuel in a similar way. Good job my comute is only about 10 miles a day in totalLooking forward to club meets once the world gets back to normality
Hi Phil.

Love the van. Your post made me laugh, as I too used to have a Leaf and was doing a free 80 mile commute everyday as I could charge at work. Going from that to having to use the Elgrand as a daily driver was painful......but hey, any excuse to drive het and all that.

Ps: Thank you for keeping us safe. 👍

Andy.

Hi folks. We are based in the central belt of Scotland. Only had the car (we call Jess) for about 6 weeks, but we love it. Pity we are not able to use it much due to current circumstances. Been looking through the site which has a ton of great information. Good to meet you all, so so speak.

Mac

Better late than never, not a morning person. I'm 57 and currently living in Waterlooville, Hampshire, but originally from Oxford. Had my Elgrand about a year and a half. It currently has its innards ripped out while I carry our a few electrical/electronic alterations while it's in lockdown mode. It's a 2003 series 1 E51 Rider AWD. Couple of snaps below of the van, me and SWMBO.

Afternoon all,
I love these 'virtual meets'...no having to get up early!
Had our Elgrand coming up to 6 years now, 2003 XL, basically standard apart from de-cat, led lights inside, double din and some poly bushes lol!
...and still doesn't look dated against my sons cars!

Hi all and how's your day going.
Well better late than never hey Carl. My name's Malcolm (malcwit) I live near Lichfield in Staffordshire with my better half Julie.
We have owned the 2007 S3 HWS for a little over 12 months and still loving it.
Not really done loads of mods other than after a POXY Alpha Romeo decide to modify the N/S and front bumper I decided to look for a different bumper, anyway I thought the bumper on the HWS looking a bit boring . Ideally I wanted the Rider bumper but being as rare as chickens teeth I got a bumper of a XL model thanks to steve at tojomotorsuk. A bit of a mod on the fog lights and i was happy.
New wheels and Stainless Exhaust Fitted.
Also a little bit of candy red carbon under the bonnet. Got loads to do while on lockdown like I must fit the bushes and ball joints I got from Brian at BMR and I want to change the exhaust box as the drone gets on ya nerves.
I think that's about it for now. Stay safe everyone and get polishing.😷
