Lets have a clean joke thread. Laughter heals as they say. (NO NASTY, OBSCENE OR COVID19!)

There is a whole generation who will not get this 🤣 🤣

I had this model tape recorder given to me by my dad given to him by his uncle lol. 'Magic eye' instead of LED or analogue VU meter.

Had a few tape recorders, wait for the valves to warm up before they'd start working.

Dad used to run a recording studio, was an entertainer and carried a flight-cased Revox B77 around with him. He used to get gigs working on cruise ships and because they didn't have a backing band on the ship he had to take his own taped backing and the Revox. He once forgot to take the Revox on a cruise ship, captain said 'Ahh its OK we have one of those on the bridge we can lend you, we use it for recording seismographic/echo-sound data and the sounds of Russian subs'.

Grundig TK 45. Still got it up in the loft. Bought it second hand in 1960 or 1961.
It was well used at parties. I got lots of invitations because of it.
