Wrapping the brown plastic....

Finally got around to covering the brown plastic after 3 years .
I was never a fan of the brown trim but I knew wrapping would be a bit of a pain. Just spent 3 hours on it. Not perfect by any stretch but I am so glad I can't see that brown any longer!!!
Forgot to add, it drives much faster now too

Thank you kindly. It is a pain getting the cover off from around the radio etc but I did it in the end. Patience is key I think. I'm happy with it

One of first jobs i did on my Elgrand. Wrapped first time, then when I was bored I sprayed it. Bit easier to remove the stuff in an e50 though.

It does look great but I’m pretty sure mine is actually real genuine wood from a tropical rainforest so I think it’s a shame to cover it.

To be fair , I used to car wrap for a living and it still took me 3 years to sort this!!!
It is fiddly unless you take plastic off around the radio. You can get away with leaving the top section in place as it's fairly flat .

I don’t think that brown trim looks that bad. To be honest, I quite like it.

However, that carbon effect looks absolutely epic. Great job Dean. Well worth the effort.

Reminds of being at Rover back in the 90's and we were looking at replacing real wood dash trim with printed plastics as a cost saving. Samples of each were put on a noticeboard and people asked to sign whether or not they could tell the difference. The only one who couldn't was some bloke called Stevie Wonder....
