Hi
Just received a vx report on a Elgrand I’m looking at buying it the auction mileage sheet is showing higher mileage than the export sheet which shows the mileage as per the dashboard which is lower
Should I be concerned
Thanks

They are simple to clock if you have the right gear but there could be other reasons. Is it a significant difference?

Hi it’s more than 10.000 km deregisted form and mot corresponds to dash mileage it’s the auction sheet which is higher.

it could be a misprint ?

Do you know who won it at auction?

I’ve never known anyone to clock a car forwards.

It just says big motor co.
The guy who is selling it didn’t buy it straight from auction it came from an exporter.

Mmm, just thinking out loud but, if a motor at auction in Japan was to be shown as “ higher” mileage, would it be considered lower grade , so worth slightly less
Also thinking misprint lol

So at auction it was bought by Big Motor Co with a higher mileage than shown on the export certificate, which would have been completed by the exporter who bought it from Big Motor Co and then sold on to your seller, by which time the mileage on the clock was lower than at the auction? Sounds like ample opportunities for a bit of jiggery pokery.

Any eyebrow raisers = let it pass.
There's always another one.
