South East Reading/Newbury: Mini meet 27th October - Venue confirmed - Anyone else interested, please add your name to the list :-)

Aah cool depends on what time as I'm away to Spain in the afternoon but would be good to have a meet if fairly near to Reading... Mansion house any good?? If it was breakfast time??

Thanks for the suggestion, they do have an overflow car park away from the place itself, and the meet would start in the morning before they opened.

Has anyone been here? Just outside Reading, large car park & garden and right on the river.

Yep its just over the road from my house. Nice place, not sure what they have going on in the morning though. It gets very busy in the evenings but again can't speak for the mornings.

Or here, food and fuel available

The Rowbarge is a very nice place just west of Reading a little bit. Plenty of parking and right on the River. I don't think a little meetup would be an issue as long as it's not excessive but I could always contact them to confirm it'd be okay. They open at 10AM on a Sunday.

Did somebody mention a cafe I'm in😍

Cool, sounds good, worth a call to find out if you don't mind Matt, we could possibly meet up at 9am and mosey in at 10am for coffee/tea breakfast/Rolls if they offer that sort of thing? :)

Thanks Matt

I'll see what they do in the morning - I don't think I've ever been there that early!

Sounds perfect :)

I could be up for this, I'm in the process of attempting to to send the wife and kids abroad for half term which leaves me home alone.

Perfect opportunity to blow some cobwebs out of the van's exhaust, some Elgrand chat and a bacon sandwich :)

Mmmm, Guinness for breakfast. Not actually Reading though, kind of nearer Newbury. Not that it bothers me, don't know why I mentioned it really, just ignore me.

Well, its got a Reading'ish address, that'll do for me :)

I live pretty much over the road from the museum of aviation, and although it would be massively convenient for me, i’d suggest it’s actually bit of no go. The car park is small and gets fairly busy on weekends with people walking into Dinton, the museum itself is rarely open on weekends and there is no cafe to speak of. Plenty of nice little places about the area though, i’ll have a think and come back to you...

Sadly I cannot make the 20th as i’ll be at rhe Nurburgring, but if it’s the 27th, i’m there.

27th it is then :)

It will be in the morning either 9am or 10am start... to be decided

Is the location now final answer?

I wouldn't commit to it until numbers are a bit more clear as I don't think they'd be too happy about 20 elgrands showing up but up to 10 would probably be fine and easy enough to blag if people are going to get something to eat inside anyway.
