Do I have the right to own this?

I have 4wd Ne51 so if you buy it and decided you don't like I'll take it from you to end your suffering.

I saw TRY 56X on an old rusty 1981 Metro. It seems it was it's original registration and it took it with it to the scrap yard - it has not been used on any other car. I was in a mind to stop the driver and make an offer for it - even then I was sure the number was worth a lot more than the car, goodness knows how much it is worth now!

No... I'm trying my best to avoid impulse purchases on credit this close to Xmas. Tomorrow is Friday and unfortunately that means lots of gin and random on-line shopping...........
I may be single by Monday 🤣

I actually remember seeing that plate back in 1981 on a new Triumph Acclaim, I believe, on a pub car park in Hampton in Arden, near Solihull !
I recall seeing it in Custom Car magazine on a trick Beetle owned by an officer of the law, may have been show plates though or he transferred it from the Acclaim. Timeframe is about right, early 80's
