I could not agree more, James. I used to put Drs and the NHS on a pedestal, I had to wait almost a year to see the ENT specialist so I was soooo excited when the appointment day came. I had a hearing test which of course is all high pitched sounds, I have a hearing issue which is a very very low noise which couldn't be picked up on.Biggest problem you have Kermit, is your gender.
Unfortunately women have long been palmed off and pushed away by Dr's and their like as you are more complicated. And by being by far the strongest sex are prone to getting on with it and not making a fuss.
Hopefully your dentist can help, but i would recommend having a consultation with a good acupuncture practitioner as they will only administer treatment if it is possible to help.
I have far more faith in this kind of help rather than Dr's.
No I don't have any bruxism/teeth grinding at all thank God.Tried it myself by the evening I could barely walk ,they did sort me out and opened out of hours for me but I did not get a refund tried it a few times before that but really did not help me they also left a needle sticking out the bottom of my foot ,luckily I checked before jumping down from the table .
As for your jaw problem wearing a mouth guard may help protect your teeth it's likely you are doing it in your sleep it can cause gum recession and all sorts of other teeth problems plus may be the cause of your ear noise ,yoga may help you relax the jaw ,have a search on youtube for your problem ,good luck .
Unfortunately your and sorry to hear, unfortunately your mums experience is far too common, having tried to help my wife fight to have doctors, hospitals and specialist i am well acquainted with the lack of care and accountability.I could not agree more, James. All very odd and complicated now, as I say I have so much going on. I did think it could all be perimenopausal related as I had terrible brain fog but I've been on HRT now for months.
If I went through the whole story and listed all the symptoms I'd bore you all to death so won't bother.
And of course since the NHS killed Mum due to negligence I have completely lost all faith. In fact If another of my family members became ill I'd rather phone a plumber than an ambulance for help.
Sorry to hear about the nastiness you and your wife are going through, horrible and very scary.Unfortunately your and sorry to hear, unfortunately your mums experience is far too common, having tried to help my wife fight to have doctors, hospitals and specialist i am well acquainted with the lack of care and accountability.
Hope you find some relief soon.
Bloody hell.I'd see what the dentist says before trying anything else. I've had accupuncture for neck and shoulder pain and I think I must have caught her on a bad day because I let her nearly kill me with the first three needles and then told her not to do any more as it hurt too much.
I'm no wuss, (I've pulled my own tooth out) but it was really bad.
I know two people who have had deep needling in their back and shoulders and have been cured. That's a different way of doing things though.
Cheers MarkAcupuncture works by irritating or inflaming the body and stimulating it's own brilliant repair mechanisms.
It's not always going to work - especially if there are larger underlying problems or your practitioner is rubbish.
As for the airy-fairy side, I know my osteopath is very good friends with the lady who developed a heat camera so sensitive that it can be used to find cancers. Nasa helped fund and develop it as they now use it in the space station for rapid diagnostics on astronauts.
A side-effect was that they found the camera showed the "energy" pathways that flow around the body - electric/heat - who knows what?
But they match the ones the Chinese were drawing in their medical books over a thousand years ago.
Thank you Colin.I've had acupuncture twice. First time was with a Chinese doctor on my back, it helped but wore of quickly.
Second time was with a sports physio for frozen shoulder, he wired up various pins to his industrial strength Tens machine prior to manipulation on the shoulder. Over several sessions this worked a treat.
If I had your symptoms I would definitely seek out a good osteopath, one familiar with cranial work. The amount of problems I've experienced from impinged nerves in my upper vertebrae is pretty long but did include teeth grinding and jaw alignment. This is something I am really struggling with so not directing this at anyone in particular but I would prefer only genuine replies please.
