WHAT THE FUCK???!!!!

Car insurance company give me renewal quote for 2 cars and Ed, up by £160 odd quid, went on-line got better quote. Contact insurance company, told them I could get a cheaper deal, gave them the details and they reduced the renewal premium accordingly plus a loyalty bonus. So now my renewal quote is nearly £60 cheaper than last years premium so a swing of £220 in my favour so to speak. WTF, every year I have to go through this, but like the shampoo, "it's worth it".

Who knew.

Just 245 miles from Iran to Dubai……as the crow ( Shahab ) flies.

Fcuk the luxury — I would be coming home, if I could get a flight that is.

Amir Khan who moved to Dubai when some scoundrel robbed his £70000 watch outside a restaurant in London explained, that he didn’t feel safe with his £40 million in the UK.

Doesn’t matter about the price now as I have just had an offer of 6 items for 0 ( yep that means nothing) on Temu

Strike that , thinking about it , I already do !!!!!!

It would actually cause you to use a tiny bit more fuel because of the tiny bit of power the LED uses that the alternator has to make and the alternator putting that tiny bit of extra load on the engine.

The company that produces them probably thought "Lets shark a fuel gullible people into buying a gadget that does nothing and can't possibly work but we'll tell them it'll save them fuel". "Great idea, what shall we call it?". "First thing that comes to mind - fuel shark :imp:".

Not a good day. We were going to go out for a seaside breakfast this morning but that was changed to an evening fish and chip supper. The supper outing was cancelled because Magnu wouldn't start. We've both been under the weather Feb 6th and Magnu was last used on Monday when I went to the doctor, prior to that she hadn't been used for a week. I must have been lucky on Monday.
This evening after she wouldn’t start I checked the voltage and she was only showing 8V. I got my Noco GB40 out, it showed 75% charged and failed to get Magnu started. She did crank faster though so I waited 30+ seconds and tried again still without success.

At this point I admitted defeat, ordered a delivery from our favourite Chinese and put the Noco on charge ready to have another go tomorrow morning - it is now showing fully charged.
If it fails again I intend to stick the Yuasa on charge and see what happens.

  • I have a Yuasa YBX5334 battery, it came with Magnu when I bought her and was bought in September '22 which makes it about 3.5 years old.
  • I still don't have a battery tester.
  • A good deal of my tools are at my mother in laws new flat including my socket set - it lives in the same tool bag as my screwdrivers.
  • I didn't leave any lights on.
  • There's been 3 attempts to start Magnu. Two with the booster and the initial one.
  • According to the cigarette lighter gizmo there is still some charge in the battery.
