I went private and had an implant.....NHS offered me a denture on a pallet, no thanks.Just a suggestion, it could be the beginnings of a denture?
Just went for a wee in B&Q and both urinals were leaking and had buckets under.
I wonder where they might be able to get some plumbing stuff to sort it?
Fark root canals and their costs AND potential! Dentures, hmmmm.I went private and had an implant.....NHS offered me a denture on a pallet, no thanks.
Whilst on the subject, my dentist of 10 years plus said he couldn't save the tooth as it was too far gone.
He then said, " if you had come in earlier we may have saved it with Root Canal and a crown."
I said " You wouldn't let me in for 18 mnths due to Covid ! "
" Ah yes...of course."
Tw47.
I want one now!
Does this mean we’ll see you in the rogue’s gallery again simonStuck for three quarters of an hour in broken temporary traffic lights again yesterday, this time on the A61 on approach to Newmillerdam from the Wakefield side between Wakefield and Barnsley.
I've moaned about the average failure rates of temporary traffic lights before. I reckon in 2025 it should be possible to make extremely reliable traffic lights and firms that set them up should be held accountable for causing traffic flow problems when all their workmen are away from site.
This time it was obvious they were broken from a long distance but a smaller percentage than usual of motorists were prepared to go through the stuck on red lights at both sides. I know we shouldn't go through red lights but the only options are to sit there all day, proceed with caution or turn around. In this case the risks were minimal because there was a clear view from both directions and it was possible to turn around if you were at the front of the que just before the lights (from the side of approach we were coming from) but not if you were further back in the que because there was a raised central reservation further back.
After no movement for the last 10 minutes and around 7 cars from the front I was just about to get out of the car to have a walk up to the front car to explain the lights were broken when the truck driver behind got out and came to chat to me. He said "this is unbelievable innit? I bet traffic is backed up all the way to Wakefield now. It seems safe to go, cars at the front of the que other side have a clear view of the coned single lane area, wonder why they don't go". I said "I was just about to get out to have a chat with the front car driver". The truck driver got back in his cab and I walked towards the front car, the driver of the 2nd car in the que wound his window down and said "This is crazy, I don't know he doesn't just go". I walked up to the front car, the driver wound his window down and said "I think the robot might be broken". I said "I'm sure it is broken but we have a few choices if we don't want to sit here all day... We can go or turn around and go back the other way". He said "I should go then?". I said "Up to you, I'm going to go through, you could either go through or turn around". He went through, I ran back to my car and there was traffic flow again, at least the truck behind me got through. But considering the number of previous stops with no movement I bet it wasn't long before traffic was stalled in both directions again.
It did occur to me to call police but only after I'd got through the red light.
Not this year, and especially not if you are in the Blenheim region you don'tI want one now!
