WHAT THE FUCK???!!!!

Mold company turned up,.... sprayed 4 rooms in less than 30 minutes! WTF

I posted this in 2023....still relevant now.

Whilst on the subject…

I was filling up my van at Tesco with momentum, a petrol delivery tanker pulled up at the adjacent pump and began to fill up.
I thought it was odd that a tanker carrying a zillion litres of fuel couldn’t fuel its own tractor unit it’s self.
I said this to the driver who laughed and said he was only filling up here for his Tesco points which paid for his Christmas shopping.
He noticed the momentum nozzle and said, do you know that stuff is exactly the same as the other one, it comes from the same tank at the depot and goes in the same tanker.
He said it only changes to momentum in the forecourts holding tanks because I add a percentage of Octane booster to that particular tank depending on the amount delivered.
I said really, you’re having me on, he said no, can you recall last year around Christmas time there wasn’t any Momentum anywhere, that was due to there being no Octane booster available.

He had no reason to make it up, but is it true……if so why are we not filling up with cheap fuel and adding our own octane booster just like he is doing but on a bigger scale?

If it's sold as E5 then it should be 5% max ethanol regardless of octane.

Got to be made differently at the refinery as Stempy says. The E number tells you the max percentage of ethanol, the octane is a different aspect entirely.

Ethanol has a higher octane than petrol so if they were made the same at the factory then extra ethanol was added to make E10 the E10 would have higher octane than E5 unless they used a lot of octane booster in E5 (more than enough to offset the higher octane of E10 with it's higher proportion of ethanol).

They couldn't turn E10 into E5 by adding an octane boosting potion because it would still have the 10% ethanol so would still be E10 but they couldn't turn E5 into E10 by adding more ethanol without making E10 higher octane than E5.

I'm sure it says E5 at the Tesco pump, no ethanol it would be E0?? I stand to be corrected though. 👍
E5 may or might have 0% ethanol. The 5 indicates the maximum content allowed. Like with E85 which varies ethanol content between summer and winter.

What volume of octane booster is added? Wouldn't that volume dilute the ethanol percentage? All very confusing, E5 must be a higher grade petrol to begin with if E10 with twice the amount of ethanol is a lower octane rating? Am I thinking rightly Simon?

Didn't know that the E number was a maximum value, so theoretically E10 could be E0? Fked if I know what's what now 🤣

Unbelievable.... emailed this company a month ago to ask whether they would be interested in the silver Elgrand and also to ask whether they still had headlights for sale. I waited and waited but finally enough waiting I called them back.
This was their response in email:

beste deze auto is voor ons helaas niet interessant
groeten b reuvers

dear this car is unfortunately not interesting for us
greetings b reuvers

What a great company!

During the night / early morning, I head a bang outside. I thought nothing of it (I live near a main road and noises like that are relatively common). I went out to Nisa earlier today to find the tailgate is dented, the bumper has been hit and the trim is broken. No sign of any bits from another vehicle.
EDIT: Yes Nisa is pretty dirty right now. She's normally cleaner than this!

I’m angry for you. A neighbour of mine backed into me while parking in a HUGE space. I was polishing the van at the time, standing by the sliding door with my head inside. He hit hard enough to rock 2.5tons of me enough for the door frame to bang into my leg. I stared at him in disbelief, waited patiently for him to finish parking and get out of his car, which he did and then started walking away! 🤯
I told him oi! You just backed into me! And showed him the clear horizontal scratch on my newly polished immaculate bumper. He smiled, said “really?” in disbelief and said was that me? I explained that I was standing there watching the whole thing and that I have just polished it and there isn’t a mark in the whole van. He smiled, almost smirked and said “hmmm”. Livid I decided to calm down and said “that’s,fine, I’ll try to polish it out and if I can I’ll be knocking on your door. Oh, and be more careful of other people’s property, my van is not your bumper nor your parking aide!”.
Total dickhead.

yeah but isn't ethanol a fair bit cheaper than the fuel? you can bet whoever sells it will make sure it's there "to the brim" to save those 5 pennies

About that Japanese service history and British pre sales servicing. I believe this is an antique in servicing terms lol

It's been in this country 3 years, was supposedly serviced before sale, and I'm first owner. It's one of those jobs you never quite get around to but rely on the servicing.

Ignore the chalk infused mat, the joys of Salisbury Plain lol.

I reckon that will be full of Togarashi! Don’t eat the filter but seriously get some Togarashi, it’s the best seasoning ever if you like spice
