Same here, Admiral it is again then...

Oww FFS, next Friday I've got to drive to Heathrow, get on a plane for 11 hours to Tokyo, spend two days in Tokyo of which one will be an 11 hour excursion to Mt. Fuji, Lake Ashi and then back on the feckin Shinkansen. Probably spend the other day looking round the fecking shops. God I hope she doesn't insist on a 20 minute cab ride to SuperAUTOBACS in Tokyo bay.

The next day I get on a feckin great cruise ship (probably full of fecking Americans) at Yokohama for 9 days, stopping at Aomori, Akita, Toyama (where my E51 is from) and then another stop in Busan, South feckin Korea. Then it's back to Tokyo before flying home again (thank feck).

Jesus, FML!
Gutted for you mate, what a nightmare! 🤣

Another Pringles moan.

The people who are in charge of graphic design on a Pringles tube are well paid.

If a product is of SALT & VINEGAR flavour then portray this in the design, it’s not hard…..

Yet no SALT visual - but there is a wooden fork, have you ever tried to eat Pringles with a wooden fork, it doesn’t work.

Put an image of a SALT seller there instead of a wooden fork, for forks sake.

FFS.
It’s supposed to to conjure up thoughts of chips with salt/vinegar on newspaper
Two problems with this is
1 .. most Pringles eaters now wouldn’t have any idea that chips used to be served up on newspaper
2… I’d expect my chips to be a lot thicker than those fuckers

You’re right.

But where is the Salt ?

I don't even like them, I only eat them because I keep my cable ties in the empty tube. 😬

Little white specs in and around the droplets of vinegar on the tube
Piss poor representation mate , your right lol
Cable ties, Mmmm

Note to self - do not catch the drivers side window regulator, motor and glass with your arm.

As it was obviously a serious incident, I called the emergency services, my son, who responded to an urgent "AARGHH FUCKING BASTARDING WINDOW" with associated excessive clattering inside a tin door at 152db on Easter Sunday.

The latest medical advice is I will probably survive this catastrophic injury, but I'm not sure about the window, as now it's repaired and functioning properly, its developed a new f*****g rattle......hmmmm.

If you do enough on the spanners you can expect a few scars, ask me how I know lol.

My autistic son was having a meltdown while we were driving home. I lost concentration and went through a speed camera at more than 30mph. £93 to do a speed awareness course. Pissed off. Normally a very careful driver.

4 hours of complete bullsh17 is better than 3 points.

By the way - a 1970 morris minor will stop from 60mph in exactly the same distance as a 2020 Audi RS4….i know, because the man taking the SAC told me so, he had a straight face when he said it too.

He had several other gems to enlighten the group on road safety as well.

I didn’t find it informative but I did find it strangely entertaining, the guy taking the course was clearly a danger to himself and other road users.

Money making scam

Whilst on the subject…

I was caught doing a whopping 24mph in a 20zone, by a mobile safety camera van.

On the NIP you could clearly see I was being overtaken by a group of cyclists, I kid you not.

Any who…. I had used my DAC cash cow and was not eligible for another 4hr comedy show, so I thought I had to take the 3 points and a fine and just sulk about it for a bit.

But no.

The 20 zone went from a 30 to a 20 with no indication as the signage was covered in moss, so illegible - then 200 yards into the 20 zone the safety van was parked in front of a Luton van for cover.📸

IMG_6044.jpeg
All of the signage in this safety van patrolled area where obscured, even school crossings, pedestrian crossing,
and all of the 20mph signage.

So to cut a long story short - no points for me, lots of aggravation for the powers that be. 👍

I know what you mean... I once did a speed awareness course to avoid getting 3 points, the main bloke running the course was on a mission because his dad was killed in a car accident but he came out with lots of incorrect/dubious stuff too. He also reckoned cars shouldn't be fitted with radios because a driver needs 100% of their attention on driving and sounds detract from the 100%. I had to wonder if he was one of those drivers that concentrates completely on 20 yards of road in front of him then gets taken by surprise when there's a bend in the road. Even the police traffic officer that was also running the course raised his eyebrows at some of the stuff he said.

I think the SAC are really good value, I saw a Jack Dee gig that didn’t get half as many laughs!

The most recent one I did was a seat belt awareness course but that was online so not as much fun

My Speed A C was on line too, 7 criminals and a teacher.

The start was a bit of a Cilla Black cringie moment...." Right Paul tell the group a bit about yourself and where you come from."

Fcuk that.

You could see all the other criminals on screen with a name tag and every now and then the teacher would swiftly single someone out with a question, just to make sure they were awake, this worked well as it kept you alert.

He read out a scripted warning at the start of the course stating...

Absolutely no recordings of this course in part or full are permitted.

# Anyone being disruptive
# Anyone not engaging with the group
# Anyone leaving their PC without permission
# Anyone using bad or inappropriate language

.....Will be excluded from the course and will not be eligible for the SAC privileges.

It reminded me of being at school when the teacher would single a pupil out who was glazing over...." Right Tomlinson, why did they use the fallow field system ?"

Everyone looks at Tomo while he turns postbox Red and squirms in his chair......" Don't know Sir." 🤭

The online seatbelt course was just written, had to watch a video but no teacher or interaction with others.

I had to visit a place near where I was caught speeding 40 miles away to do the speed awareness course but that was years ago.
