They were originally sold at a very high premium over the cost of a 'normal' Allegro, I'm not sure what justified the high premium of something like 50% higher price than the Allegro. I learned to drive in my dad's Princess Vanden Plas. I think the 'Vanden plas' was velour seats and walnut trim, including walnut fold-down picnic tables. I think it was 2.2 litre and a fairly nice drive, but then I'd never driven anything else to compare with.

Since when has banter been bullying? Case in point, speaking for myself, I would never take the piss out of, or belittle someone publicly unless

a: I knew them really well
b: I knew they wouldn't be offended by my words, however harsh it seemed to onlookers

I grew up in the sixties and seventies when racism, bigotry and sexism was rife. It seems we have now swung so far the other way that even gingers are a "protected" minority 🤣

Yes it was.

Difference was, it was deemed as acceptable then and it sure as shit isn't now.

We haven't swung so far the other way, we're just better educated and aware of social equality.

Times change, nuff said.

Too true joe, my wrist is far too skinny to display some of the monstrosities that watch makers want to force upon us. I hanker after a good watch but the latest versions are far too ugly. They are chasing the Chinese market just like BMW 🤣 1742770413334.png
