Bin Day today.

Paper & Foodwaste.

I watched an operative load the paper bin and then noticed a paper cup and some cardboard had landed on the floor as the wagon pulled away...about 18 inches apart.

He does no more than bend down to pick up the cup but leaves the cardboard and walks away.

What is wrong with people?
 
Our bin man is quite friendly, he likes cars so if I’m there he will have a quick chat.

We had a leaflet delivered through the door asking us to put our recycling in the bin washed and loosely placed.

The bin man said that’s rubbish, take no notice ( see what I did there ).
He said look at the recycling going into the loader….it then gets compressed by that big ram.
When we off-load it the recycling comes out in a block.

“Them people in the office with the shirt and tie and thick glasses know nuffin.”

Edited to add my main point that I forgot….

He can collect 4 wheelie bins in one go - its a gift.

I trolley shamed 3 people while with the dog at Tesco earlier. On this particular walk, we often do a half way by a Tesco, and waiting, some woman leaves her trolley inches away for another car, and just gets in. I walk over and said hard work isn't it, walking 15 steps, and took it back myself. The classy one gave me the finger. Next some bloke does the same. I said mate, no wonder the NHS is in crisis, how hard is it to put that back and think of other people's property. He looked at me, and drove off. Another woman does it next. I take the trolley as shes getting in her car and said watch this, and walked the EIGHT steps, counting them out as I go, returning her trolley. Shamed, as I'm saying what happened to other people, she drives out an opposite way, not to pass. Again mind you, all of them also decided to park as near to the tesco opening as possible.

"I'll just open my door and drop it on the floor". Full packaging and left over food...bin not 10 metres away.

T'other week, crawling in traffic and some "Coat Hanger" man...you know the sort with his jacket hanging up in the back...just opens his door and casually drops a banana skin on the road.

Fuckin unbelievable!

Don't get me started, idle people, I live on a fairly busy main road and the amount of McDonalds bits we get- and the nearest McDonalds is at least 8 miles away, if you have carried it that far take it home and put it in your bin, I would have the main tips open dawn till dusk, allow anyone to tip there and any flytippers or throwing stuff out of the car should get 6 months litter picking. I thought someone had come up with the idea of putting the car reg number on the wrappers, it can't be that hard to do.
