What have you done to your Elgrand today?

Less work if you don’t have to strip down to get to manifold flange bolts.
I was trying to work out of leaving things in there was room to cut out the old and replace with the slimmer steel cats ?
Bargain anyway lol
I don't see it as feasible to cut above the cats and reweld in the same place while still bolted.to the manifolds.

And I’m with you on that simon but I’ve seen some stuff over the years, in fact when I was younger ( nah best not go there lol)

YBX5334 on order, how much of a pig are they to fit?

Been noticing a few things with the weather that seem to be suggestive of my battery being past its best so took the plunge and ordered one before it fully dies.

easy!

If I remember rightly you will need to trim a couple of plastic bits off of the tray it sits on. Mine was so brittle I snapped it off by hand.

Only thing to watch out for that I actually missed, was some small plastic bungs in the battery that need to be removed once fitted. I believe they’re vents.

I think it is best to keep the tray to prevent battery rubbing paint off. I just cut the rim off the tray with a hacksaw blade. Insert battery at an angle.

Had a good drive around and met Highway Dave and picked up the rear lights, great bloke, spent some time chatting and looking at his Elgrand.
Then onto Simon LPGC to drop a pump off for him to look at, he was up to the neck in another lpg conversion so I didn't stay long, then went shopping to ensure my marriage remains viable :) The bus drove great same as normal, did about 100 miles round trip.

Transit bungs, most (if not all) batteries have them I believe.

Hopefully won’t be too much Dremel work then :-

Quite a bit bigger… had to trim the tray underneath and the plastic surround / heat shield.
