Put 53.9 litres of momentum in £93, I was on 1/4 of a tank. Spotted @deano. parked up then on my way home saw another local black rider and I gave a very subtle nod, he smiled and nodded back so I guess he saw. Need to flash my lights really (already fully accustom to the lights and indicators). Also noticed how the driver height is exactly the same as a Vito. @deano.

Ordered some HEL braided brake lines for mine. And some decent spec brake fluid. Hoping once those are fitted I won't cook the brakes going downhill again anytime soon...

If we are talking steep hills etc then the fluid and hoses won’t help all that much , they are designed to give better braking but braking on hills is still going to hit the brakes harder than on the flat.
Much better to shift from auto to manual when descending hills and drop her down a gear or two

Today I drove my Elgrand for the last time for a couple of weeks as I have been fitted with a bionic thumb. Throbbing a bit at the moment but good excuse to sit on the sofa and be waited on.

The other Deano, well it was parked outside his house. Tried editing the name to be his but it's still shows you?

Just tried again, but even with his small d and a dot it still links to you?? Odd

So I just randomly spotted and ordered the holy grail of unobtanium, a black leather driver's seat without any crumpled foam or splits in the (vinyl?) outer bolster of the base, from an allegedly 26k mile breaker (also a 2008 car in the same colour as mine too so should be the same seat). The one on my car (which is now on 96k) is looking tired, held together with repair tape and has bothered me since I got it.

Is changing over the seats a case of just undoing the 4 bolts and unplugging the electrical connector, or is it more complicated?

Not today but this week, had a great week in the Yorkshire dales, bus didn't miss a beat as normal, went to Richmond, Hawes, Jervaulx abbey and Brimham rocks. A few pics, the first one is the cheapest tearoom in the dales, invertor and electric kettle worked great.




I also used the remote battery isolator fitted last week, had the doors open all the time while we were camping no battery drain and complete control of the electrics when required, used it to isolate the battery while we were sleeping so all doors locked including tailgate with keys inside.
