What have you done to your Elgrand today?

Not just today but since we got the car we have:
* put a new tyre on (got a flat)
* alignment and balance
* Put new tie rod ends on
* another alignment
* adjusted the parking brake
* cleaned and lubricated the curtain tracks (tailgate curtain is a little weak but the others are great now)
* tried (kind of successfully) to install a new head unit - new wiring adapters on the way to fix poor wiring
* lubricated the power mirrors and bonnet latch
* fixed minor rust around the front door seals, right sliding door seal and tailgate seal
* polished out all the lights
* re-terminated the fog light wiring
* replaced fog light bulbs

Still on the list to do:
* adjust left headlight (pattern is wrong)
* fix park lights (one is blown, the other needs to be reterminated)
* fix rear subframe bush
* finish the head unit install
* adjust the vertical alignment of the radar unit

Just now I set about repairing the cracked side skirts on the rider. Had a quote from a breakers for the two bits of plastic and fell over so I'll just fix these and paint them instead seen as I have over a litre of g30 paint now as well. 😂😂🤟.
Did you know each skirt is held on with 18 bolts...
18!!! 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

Got the offside rear suspension on, new springs/dampers and airbags, tried the new disc and painted calipers to check fit and just to see how it looked. While I'm posting, is there any reason the bottom damper bolt can't go in with the nut at the rear? Do Nissan fit them with the nut at the front just to make it awkward to get the bolt out as it fouls the parking brake metal tubing. 20260509_143618.jpg

Not sure but did you have a weird bolt in yours with no head on it and a little tang on it to stop it from spinning when the nuts tightened up? That's what I found on ours when I did shocks. 🤷🤷.

Looking good mate and I put my bottom bolt the other way as I see no reason not too

Yes that's the one, but I've put mine back on the other way around so that putting the bolt back in doesn't foul on the parking brake tubing, also I would think it normal to put the bolt head in the direction of travel, that way if the nut ever came off the bolt should stay in due to the excellent acceleration of the Elgrand ;)

That’s the correct and original bolt type ( not cheap to replace either)

Just to say, after a few hours on charge, the car is back to starting happily. So it does indeed seem like if the key is left in the car with the ignition off, it prevents it from going into sleep mode. I assume that if the key was in the faraday pouch it might have prevented this, but it wasn't. Don't want to test that theory really as I only have one working key and would rather not lock it inside the car!

Are those the upgraded discs from JDM? Thinking of fitting those (and some HEL brake lines) when mine next need doing.
