What have you done to your Elgrand today?

Didn't take the Elgrand, but I saw a nice white '05 plate one, nice condition, parked up in 'The Wingfield Hotel' car park, down 'The Brad' (Llanbradach), when I took the car with the dog for a walk earlier.
I often see Elgrands when I am driving my wife's car, and I have to remember not to wave, or they may think, do I know him! 😂

Funny that, I see more when I'm in another car than when in the Elgrand. Twice I've had a 'flasher fail' (for want of a better term)- an Elgrand coming towards me and I hit the screen wash instead of the headlights :poop:
The only time I got the headlight flash right was to an Alphard 🫣

My garage said not to put new discs with old pads, I put new pads in about six months ago so will probably put up with old discs until pads knackered.

The new 2nd hand rim arrived last week and I had the tyre taken off the bent one, which was amazingly fine, so that's fitted now.

The tyre place say that they can repair the bent rim, and that can be a spare.

The ebay purchase is in better nick than the old one was, so that's a bonus :)

Gave it a wash this morning.
Got it on the charger to give it a blast.
Going to put/fold down the back two bench seats this afternoon and put the mattress topper in, as tonight might be the maiden sleep over (somewhere local) with the dog :)

Well, topper/quilt set up :)

Did the sunroof seals with Gummi (again!)

In addition to this morning's wash, did the wheels with AutoFinesse Revolution wheel shampoo, and Meguiers Endurance Tyre Gel

Knackered!
(P>S, that isn't bird poo on the rear bumper, under the rear light. Must be some weird reflection or something)

That's immaculate!
The pic's flattering. The paintwork isn't anything like dognero's, in that it hasn't had a machine polish, but has the obligatory light swirls etc which a 14 year old car, washed by who knows who over the years, gets. It is in pretty good nick though.

Looking good, with everybody getting out and cleaning their Elgrands, I will have to do mine at the weekend now.;)

Replaced headlight bulbs, did take whole headlight out, and left that painful nut on side of bumper out... Next time can take headlight out without removing bumper.

Here is how I think it will play out.

You and your pooch will drive out to a beautiful spot.🤗

You will eat the sandwiches your wife has made for you and treat the dog with his own picnic.

Then you will walk for hours on end taking in the freedom, fresh air and the views, thinking it’s so good to be alive.

Back to the van….snug in the back watching a DVD and checking in here.

Getting late now the pooch is well away, dark outside, time to sleep.
DVD off, phone on silent…💤💤

You wake an hour later needing a pee.

Not worth trying to fight it, just go.

No, it will subside — it won’t, bursting for a pee now.

Open sliding door, only opens 1/3 of the way, then starts beeping, now the Van alarm is going off with all lights flashing the door won’t open or shut !

Dog is disturbed by noise and anxiety from owner, starts to bark.

You try to clamber over to the drivers seat, the exertion and panic makes you pee your pants, you can’t stop, too late…you look at the dog and he looks at you in disgust.

Whilst positioning yourself to try and open the drivers door you've kicked the information screen clean off its hinges, fcuk.

You open the drivers door and get out to the ear screaching siren and blinding flashing lights only to realise you don’t need to get out now, you have peed your pants.

…..must stop the alarm, pressing the remote doesn’t stop it, key in ignition, doesn’t stop it either.

Dogs just shit on the quilt due to the stress of it all and run off through the partially opened sliding door.

Van Battery starts slowly dying and engine won’t turn over - in panic mode now, must call the wife for a lift home !

Grabs phone from the back, covered in poo…….battery flat.

…..add your own ending.😆👍

a Hamlet moment maybe?

If you find the BT keeps disconnecting and you have an android, google how to enable developer options on your particular phone, then find “Disable Bluetooth A2DP hardware offload” and turn it off. I have also rolled my BT back to the earliest version although this may not be necessary.
