What have you done to your Elgrand today?

Today I did a few bits on the Rider including raising the height on the back springs a bit ( has adjusters on top of the springs) as it sat abit too low for me and a lot of camber on rear wheels. Sorted out a few rusty bits on arches and sorted the rear bumper corner out that a retaining bit had come off. All before the thing decided the slip off it's axle stands and hit the deck.. 😂😂. Luckily no major damage more my pride really. And some bent disc shields.

So I removed the 3rd row seats yesterday in an effort to make a bit more room for camping in the back of mine. Was actually surprisingly easy (apart from the heft of them - imagine I’ll gain 5mpg just from the weight reduction lol). Can anyone tell me though, is there a knack to sliding the floor runners with the seats out of the car? I realised that for my purposes, the runners on the sides need to be slid as far back as possible (which was pretty easy to do) but once the seats are out, the floor runners seem to be locked in place? I don’t plan to permanently remove the runners but would like to slide them as far forward as possible.

Probably the easiest way to explain is put the seat on its side and open the folding "leg" on this you will see the "U" loop that goes into the floor and then when you pull the lever the other pin will move forwards, then you will see how it works. On the runners press down where the "U" bolts go in and simultaneously lever the bar/slot where the pin goes, I can't remember if the "U" bolt slot stays down when pressed, I think it does and is then is released by the two catches on the runner, then you can move it where you want by using a big screwdriver to replicate the pin action.
Don't forget to put them back in the correct position when you replace the seat or it won't lock back in or allow you to release again. Sorry its a bit involved its very easy once you've done it but hard to see what is happening and even harder to describe it. :)

Finally decided where to fit the trip switches for the electric hook up, made a plate and welded it to the spare wheel holder in the back along with a single socket, desperately trying to get ready for the Mod Nats at the end of June, still need to wash and polish etc, not enough time in the day but it certainly focuses the mind.
