What have you done to your Elgrand today?

The 319 was better but still only lasted about 24 hours. Back to the suction cup I guess.
In both cases, not a molecule of glue was stuck to the windscreen after the mirror fell off.
My Elgrand has a clear sticky pad that was fitted in Japan for the road toll transponder, can I fuck get it off, you need some of that!

Ok this is getting ridiculous now, went to the van earlier and the suction cup had fallen off!
Decided yesterday to use the original rear view mirror “stalk”, and bought some camera clamps off Amazon.

I have a feeling that this isn’t the end of it.

I have a feeling that this isn’t the end of it.
Did it not come with rubber straps to fasten it to the original mirror?

When trying to bond the plastic holder to the glass have you cleaned the glass with isopropyl alcohol first and have you looked at permabond UV639 as a bonding agent

Yes, I thoroughly cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol. Not tried the UV639 but I’m happy with it now. Thanks

Got to say excellent packing from Zenmarket being double boxed and plenty of protection and received in 6 days from posting in Japan

The mirrors them self's look to be really well made and the quality of the paint also looks to be very good.

I bought in QX1 as there was quite a big price difference between buying in KH3 and it was also cheaper than buying unpainted

Almost a pity to hydodip over them in yellow carbon as I originally planned and might just put on how they are in the QX1 and see what they look like on my black KH3 Elgrand

Added advantage is that this will also make my van a bit faster as it will be part QX1:D

Nice , infact very nice and a good choice with the Qx1.
I tend to leave my tyres black to hold me back a little lol

Nice can't wait to see photos of them on your van
Bit of a taster

Definitely look better in black/unpainted :D

series 1 Mirrors

Puddle lights, DLR's and flowing/ or flashing indicators.

Can have the indicators flashing or flowing with a switch inside the van to change them to how you want

Top right is flashing, bottom left is flowing

They look awesome Kev!! 😍

Another parcel has arrived from Japan, bought from Upgarage.

They are used and I took a bit of a punt on them as they were very cheap to buy with postage within Japan and to the UK plus taxes being way more than the cost of the mats

Had them sent surface mail to keep costs down so that if they turned out to not be any good this would cut my losses

Got them on the 18/09 and they were sent from Japan on the 17/07 so very nearly 2 months to the day to arrive

They are actually in far better condition than what I thought they might be from the pictures from Upgarage and apart from a very small amount of wear on the drivers mat and a small cigarette burn also on the drivers mat which luckily is very close to the rear edge and as I am not very tall and have my seat forward a bit will be under the seat.

Apart from the drivers mat they look to have seen very little use with just a couple of very small stains on the rear mats which I am certain that I can get out as just rubbing them with a wet sponge has improved them quite a bit.

They are made by DAD Garson with the DAD logo on them and are there top of the range mats and look to be very good quality with a nice rubber backing and in a far better condition and a definite upgrade on my standard Rider mats or anything that I could have bought off the shelf in the UK and worked out considerably less money.

I had intended to try to dye them black if they were badly stained but now think that I will leave as they are.

Can get the footwell mats to match brand new from DAD so might treat myself to these.
