Tow Bracket and electrics installed

well done! did you have to cut the plastic/bumper? trying to find a supplier for the E52, I know there is a company that makes them, just can not find the thread.

No, No cut was required, very close but just cleared it.
 
Nice one - now as you say, to find a caravan - so much choice, is the other half involved in that decision process?

Anyway, I had Simon @Lpgc fit my Towtrust tow bar but my rear springs are shot leaving the tow ball lower than the required height (see my post about this HERE) - have you measured the tow bar (to centre of tow ball) height even before you hook up a trailer? I'd be interested to know please.

I've only taken the caravan out once to a local site to see what's what - when hooked up to the car the tow ball height droped to 290mm so somewhat low and the (fully raised) jockey wheel was brushing some speed bumps.

Yes my wife is involved in the selection, we always work as a partnership on such purchases but equally respect each others individual purchases.
I guess this must work as we have now been together a long time.
Regarding the height to the centre of the ball, mine measures 425mm unladen and as we only carry a couple of suitcases and 2 small dogs I do not think I will have an issue providing the nose weight is kept to its recommended.

That's great and enforces the view that my springs are 'all sprung out' and the replacements due Wed are well overdue.
