It is with a very heavy heart that I notify you all that we have lost one of our members, a good friend to many on here and a key figure in ElgrandOC meet ups.

Cliff Goodwin passed away whilst sailing his boat.

From his son Jake, he posted this on the Facebook group.

He will be sorely missed by many on here.

There will be arrangements made shortly for a collection for Cliffs family. I'll post a new thread soon with details.

Really sad news, RIP Cliff. My condolences to all his family and friends. He will definitely be missed.

I only met Cliff twice but he left a positive and lasting impression. A huge personality, with a wicked sense of humour and a possible obsession with changing the oil every six months. He certainly lived up to the T-shirt "grill master" slogan above that @dognero posted.

I'll have been there one of those times you met him mate, he definitely left a lasting impression with his Elvis singing and grill.

Is it OK to ask what happened?

I only know what is in the post by @Madfish at the top of the thread.

The family haven't disclosed the cause of death at this stage...
