Hi, just a quick one to warn you NOT to use Swanage Tyres and Tuning Center in Swanage. They will look you directly into your eyes and totally rip you off. The usual problem, as with most dodgy MOT Centers, is that they will milk you, and the one step is to cut your CV boot if they can't find a fault. A replacement boot doesn't cost much until you add the 1-1.5 hour labour charge, even when they claim to charge by the half-hour. They had my car in for an MOT, which failed, and they claimed the CV boot had perished. £20 or so without labour. As I sat by the cafe a couple of days later, , I could see the car go into their garage at around 12.00 pm (having got there at 09.00 am), and less than 10 minutes later it was sorted, bill around £160!! Be warned, as the customer behind me was also charged for a failed CV boot. Pirates!!

That is one reason why I only use MOT places which do not have a workshop they just do MOTs.
if it only took 10 minutes to do it looks like they used Glue together boot which don't last very long.
