I had all kinds of answers to the cause of one side door not fully closing. From adjusting cables to oiling the mechanism. (No Way).
I have put up with intermittent sticking of this door for months, then, by pure fluke, while the subject door was open. I noticed a 3cm abrasion on the bottom part of the door seal at the step.
It then became obvious that the door was being hindered by the rubbing of the seal and the door carrier on the underside. A quick test with a light spray of WD40 on the door carrier showed that it now glides effortlessly.
If you have this problem, it may be a simple remedy for a common problem.
