Thank you. I'm getting it too. And when I tried to edit a couple of typos.
It's just got a bit much bouncing around my head and I needed to vent it out.
On the one hand I want spend what's needed to sort it, on the other what if it is the head gasket even though it passed the sniff test and anything I spend is bad money after good. No way in hell I could afford the £3.5k I've heard quoted. That's not far off what I paid for it in the first place and it isn't like it is cosmetically or mechanically perfect otherwise. I know there's other stuff like front shocks and springs that will be needed eventually and getting the blinking dash looked at but none of that will happen until I know the overheating is solved.
