We have always had private plates on our cars but Big El is 30 days too young to put ours on.

Looking for a 6 letter (3 top, 3 bottom) ideally or 4 top and 3 bottom on a UK JDM plate.

Would like J22 JPN but its a few grand! Need that money for fuel.

Anyone got any inspiration? Funny or original.

Thats so cool!

We have HE11 YA B on the car and HE11 YA G on my works van.

Im not sure if we can but the Hell Ya B onto the 60 plate Elgrand although Big El was registered 01-02-2011. Something tells me this is 30 days away from being a 2011 vehicle?

Also Blippi. Have you ever been pulled for the plate or light up badge as that is an obvs illegal space that sticks out like a sore thumb (still looks wicked!)

Both have been on the car for the last 3 years and never had any issues.

Re the light up badge, during the summer it's a lot less obvious as being illuminated. The only thing I could be pulled for is it's technically a red light to the front but if I ever was it would take seconds to disconnect and I'd probably look for something that only lights up white so it wouldn't be an issue.

Re the number plates, there actually showplates so technically not legal but I think with things like this it comes down to not taking the piss. There in a legal font and size so can easily be read by ANPR etc. Plate is smallest legal size allowed.

I have a workmate who's friend is a traffic cop and I unofficially asked him how he would deal with them officially and he said he doubted that either issue would be something he would worry about dealing with unless they stopped me for worse issues.

the plate is a MOT failure, therefore i guess would be deemed as illegal. Like you i have never been pulled but always carry the OEM DVLA plates with me encase i do and say to the officer i was at a car show and forgot to swap them.

Does the badge say Nismo? I guess yours is the 280bhp version if so?

It actually passed MOT with them on and tbh my MOT guy is pretty strict but has never picked up on them. I'm guessing the fact the plate is smaller and square it's less obvious. Easy fix if it ever becomes an issue.

Unfortunately not a nismo version so standard power unless I ever find an ecu. There wasn't really a nismo factory version from my understanding more a case of cars with different levels of nismo parts fitted ie wheels, body kit, suspension mods, ecu etc.

I think the majority of nismo elgrands I've seen advertised are like mine with an aftermarket badge fitted 😂🤣🤣😂.

Fair play getting away with it. Its one of those plates that only Jap fans would understand!

In regards to the power, is it simply a upgraded ECU on a E51?

I believe so but there are much more knowledgeable people on here that may know different.
