Update to my to post
After reading you're replies I decided to look into this further and viewed one yesterday, and decided I just had to buy it.
I'll probably convert it to gas to overcome the mpg concern I had, thanks to lpgc for the details on lpg gas conversion, without this advice I would have walked away from the Elgrand
So, I'm now an Elgrand E51 Highland Star owner! and look forward to spending endless hours reading the previous posts and learning all about it and getting advice from the other members in this group.

Well done, congratulations!
Admittedly, they're thirsty beasts, but such fun to drive, very luxurious, comfortable and versatile, mostly without big issues and I think worthy paying a little bit extra at the pump. Enjoy!
